I have the headlight paint issue. Does anyone have a contact number for Gm Complaint Dept, other than the generic numbers on their site. I’ve had no luck with anyone I talk to. I actually got the same person twice. She told me there are no known issues. And refused to allow me to talk to someone else. I gave her the 22-NA-081 number. She says it doesn’t apply to my car. I told her I was filing a complaint and she basically said she doesn’t care. Thanks.

I called a few local dealers. None of them had dealt with it. One said it would be covered. Just to make sure I called Gm customer service yesterday. Basically they had no idea if GM would cover it. So I just took it to a shop I used in the past. They’ve done the repair before. Called GM again today with the same results. Basically tells me today it doesn’t matter because I took it to a non Gm certified shop. Same person as yesterday that wouldn’t help out. I know I’m stuck paying. But she was clueless and refused to let someone else talk to me.
Your action was probably the best since it's anyone's guess what a dealer may have done to "fix" it; this is assuming the shop did a good job, of course.
My dealer repainted my bumper and repositioned the lights. They also got GM to send me a check for the PPF that had to be replaced on the bumper.
It’s what I was trying to do also. I had a paint issue before and GM didn’t cover it. Dealer says it’s covered but customer service adviser was clueless. I called twice and my call back was the same person. The dealer said I had to remove and replace PPF at my cost. That’s why I initially called. I explained what I found on the forum. She didn’t care. So I’m waiting for a response to my email. Thanks.
OP - what year is your car? The TSB Tadda posted shows 20-22 models. I have the peel too but I have a 23. I haven’t addressed it yet, so not sure it covers 23-24’s.

I would guess that TSB has been updated since to include later model years...

It’s a 2022. I didn’t buy the car locally or new. The local dealer said it should be covered. They would only paint a portion of the bumper that was damaged. I called GM to inquire about the issue and make sure it would be covered. Also about the PPF. That’s where my problem began. Customer service refused to help at all. I’ve been burned by GM in the past. I’m sure the dealer where you bought from will get it done.

would love to know any details about how they got that check for you from GM or if you had to do/say anything to make that happen since so many have posted they were told no. Seems most have been told no, but some have had success so wondering if the "no" dealers are just assuming it's no and not even asking GM? Or if some owners are somehow in a special case? or the dealership carries some cred? Do dealers have some amount of "good will" credit GM will send so they have to be judicious about which customers that ask for it for? etc etc?
I had a issue with mine on the driver side after the PPF install because of the really tight tolerance (don't know how the PPF guy got the film between the light and fender with not tolerance) it was pushing the film out after driving it a few miles. I removed the liner to see if I could adjust the light but it wouldn't move. After staring at it for a minute, tried to adjust the fender bracket but it to would not move so I grabbed the fender mounting bracket and pulled on it to bend it slightly and that did the trick. The fender was installed properly but with a slightly bent bracket. Hope this helps someone... FWIW.
I emailed the body shop manager a quote for the bumper PPF replacement and she submitted it with the warranty claim. Was approved about a month later by the regional warranty manager and got a check about a month after the repair was done. They didn’t give me any grief about it at all. I initially met the body shop manager in person and showed her the issue along with the fact that I had just gotten the car PPF’d a month before that. I was always polite and followed up by phone a couple of times over the 3 month period.
