Default disabled my soler

Had my car in for service last week and disabled my Soler controller before my 40 minute ride so I wouldn't forget to do it when I dropped off the car.
Pretty soon after leaving put it back to setting 5. NICE to have it back on!

I'm not mechanically inclined at all ... i might even say that I'm mechanically challenged. It was simple, a couple of screws and connectors. Then just hiding the mess where it won't get caught up around the pedal.

Let's put it this way. An average sized eight year old who plays with Legos could install three faster than a 250lb 6' ASE Master Mechanic could install one!

Short way to say... figuring out how to bend your body and hands is WAY more difficult than the two connectors and one nut.

Tip... using the two connectors on the Soler, practice connecting/disconnecting before you go down there. And provide yourself some good illumination.

I didn't install the display, just bluetooth to the phone, so even faster.

Haha thanks...I'll probably just pay for the hour of labor, with a torn meniscus i think it will be very painful..

Is it crucial to do the throttle body too? Is the TB a warrenty voidable mod and what difference does that make vs just the controller?

Lastly guess I need to find out whwre to order and if any deals are coming any time soon.

It's a rubber plug, one bolt, and one electrical connector. Find a neighborhood kid to do it for you... if someone can operate a lawnmower they'll be able to handle this in 15 minutes max (for real).

The ported throttle body is a compliment, but not required. If paying someone labor to install the TB, plan for 2 hours. While the throttle controller adjusts the mapping, the throttle body increases airflow to the engine.

It's wild to me people buy these things. It's like spending a couple hundred bucks on a placebo effect. I understand how they work with the throttle position map. It's the exact same thing as when going form Normal to Sport mode already present in the car. These boxes don't make the response any better, just makes the engine think you're pushing the throttle more than you are, giving you the illusion it's improved something by giving you 50% throttle when you only apply 20%. So if you're just someone who doesn't or can't push the pedal the floor often, this is like a crutch to help. So I guess it's useful in that way.

And secret time, they pay people to come on popular forums like this here lovely place and make posts and positive reviews on their products.

I am very pleased with my Soler throttle body and Bluetooth throttle controller. Believe what you want, but I have noticed an improved throttle response with the items installed.

I bought mine directly from Soler - good service and fast shipping.

Ahhhhh, I used to be you. Obviously you've never tried it. It is absolutely NOT the exact same thing as going from normal to sport, totally incorrect......it is SO much different than that and SO much more than you think. You are totally missing the point of this. Of course we all understand that there is ZERO performance increase, we understand exactly how it works, but that doesn't matter because it FEELS like you gained so much more power and response and that's what matters. The car is absolutely 100% more fun with this mod. Like I said, I was 100% like you. I scoffed at people putting these in......"Waste of money! So stupid!" I said...........then finally after listening to other folks go on and on I just said screw it and got one. Holy lord..........you just can't understand it until you try it. Until then you can stay in the dark and not have nearly as much fun as the rest of us with this super cool product. I will stand by my statement that this is THE single best mod you can make to your car for so cheap, period, end of story!

I have both the Soler Throttle Controller and the Soler Ported Throttle Body. I had the Controller by itself for several hundred miles and then got the Throttle Body. The Controller is by far the more important piece and makes a huge difference by itself. I didn't really notice a big difference when I put the Throttle Body in. Maybe a hair more response but nothing to write home about. I know it flows air better, it's science and I believe it so I kept it in. The car drives fantastic so I'm gonna leave it as is, but I can't say the Throttle Body is a must buy.

I think the reason the throttle controller is so great is because it's just so seamlessly integrated into the car. You can dial in a little or you can dial in ludicrous, totally up to you and it works PERFECTLY! Just such an awesome product!

I don’t have the Soler but I have a Pedal Commander. Same idea, different company. I actually bought it for my Cadillac CT5 and it brought the tt v6 to life. Same plugs as C8 so I reached out to them and boom it works there too. I turn it off when I take it to dealer and can’t wait to get it back on afterwards. I actually turn it back on before leaving the dealer. They are amazing.

many thanks as always! Guess ill just bypass the TB for now...would really like to avoid any potential warrenty issues if I'm not getting a big return for the risk.

Assume I need to remove this before the car goes in for service?

We all know exactly how it works, and I said all this same stuff. I'm not a 100% convert though like most others. It is more fun, but I've turned it off recently just to see if after using it for months how it was to go back. It honestly didn't bother me much, I found i compensated by pressing the pedal more. I did turn it back on but I wouldn't be too upset if I didn't have one. But for under $200, I'd buy again.

You can leave it installed, just use the phone app to set it back to OE setting. Using just the phone app for control, the install is completely seamless and hidden behind the throttle pedal underneath the carpeting.

This ^^^. I just installed mine the other day. I swear most of the time spent was twisting my body in there and carefully loosening the connector. I too removed the display and am relying solely on the bluetooth app.

Sorry, I meant just put it back to zero.

I completely disagree with you. Totally changes the feel of the car.
And TBC I know it does not add any hp as some people believe.
