I have been using mirrortap with my Escort since March. However, today, the radar has stopped working. I tried the cig outlet, and it works normally. I swapped to a different wire tap, but there is still no power to the detector. The tap I used was correct (red to red, black to black). My driver's side mirror has no issues, and everything seems to be working fine. I am considering switching to a fuse tap, but I'm concerned that I might have blown a fuse or caused damage in the mirror. It's a 2024 2LT Stingray.

Try using white black as ground I believe that is chassis ground and is how mine is wired working without issue. your mirror still has power? and rear camera on the mirror is working?
Where is this wire/connection located? Do you have a picture of this connection point? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
Im using red wire and white top left NOT the black as shown, connection is made from the back of the rearview mirror , just remove the cap to expose the wiring harness
I actually try both, black/white and black only. detector did not come on. Camera mirror, lights, everything I check close to the area work beside the detector not on. First time occurred this problem since I did it to all my car before (Mercedes, BMW and Porsche).

Strange . got a tester to check the switched power on the red wire?
Any way to check the radar detector itself? If it was working, and the other things on that circuit still work, I would lean toward the detector failing.

He said he tested in accessory outlet and it worked fine. I agree with above, real easy to not get the pins installed right.
Assuming you are using the Blendmount wire assembly (and mine was for an Escort radar) BLACK /BLACK AND RED/ RED is the correct way to wire it. In the square opening where the mirror wire comes out be sure to insert the pin against the bottom.
Quick way to check the mirror has power is to see if the camera works and the dimming feature of the mirror. If they do then the mirror does have power and you just didnt make good contact with the pins. If they are not working just check the fuse, probably blown.
The blendmount instructions are wrong. They use the WRONG pin numbers.
I have brought this point up many times here, but they still haven't corrected it. The freaking pin numbers are even MOLDED into the plastic connector, sheesh.
The correct black/GND pin to use is not the one next to the gray wire. If you tap that gray wire, there goes your side mirror.
The correct wire is further away and is black with a stripe, and this is the chassis gnd per the wiring diagram that @AndyBump posted a while back.
I think you just have a bad tap, or perhaps your tap wire on the detector side has an issue? Check it all with a voltmeter.
I wouldn't go through the hassle to try tapping power elsewhere. I would think if the +12V lead had a blown fuse you would see an issue like no TV mirror, etc.

I installed my MirrorTap about 10 mos ago and the directions were accurate and if installed per directions should work fine. I have 2 friends who installed since as well and worked perfect.
I installed mirror tap since March and it worked fine since yesterday so I know it tight in there. As I drive to work today, everything works and I’m too lazy to buy a multimeter. I already order the fuse tap to do instead. I don’t know does it have anything to do with the recent OTC update .
Recap:
-wire tap was installed in March and stop working yesterday
-detector work using cig outlet
-I switch to another wire tap since I have extra, no power on
- detector is escort 360 max
Look at their instructions and the PIN numbers. They show pins 1-5 starting on the bottom row going from right to left, when in fact, pins 1-5 are on the TOP row.
Pin 1 is at top right, and Pin 5 is at top left. If anyone just looked at the numbers they say to use and then looked at the connector, they would use the wrong tap location.
