Last week I pulled into a driveway and heard a light scrape in the front of my 2022 C8 HTC. Almost immediately after that I noticed that the steering wheel was misaligned counterclockwise by about 10 degrees and on the freeway the steering felt a little "squirrelly". Took it into the dealer today to get an alignment and found out the the front right and front rear wheels were bent and needed to be replaced prior to doing any alignment.
Looks like it's going to cost $1850 to replace the wheels including the alignment. I left the car there -- they said it normally takes 4 to 5 days to get the wheels shipped.
Kind if sucks, but it is what it is.
Might be worth filing an insurance claim, depending on what your deductible is. After a really nasty pothole with my C7 I needed a new wheel, tire, and alignment that insurance took care of.
Aren't the local municipalities responsible for vehicle damage due to road surface issues like potholes, etc.? Can you file a claim with them? Is that even feasible?

I believe typically only if it's a reported issue to the state's DOT dept. AND they have acknowledged it AND planned a repair that hasn't happened yet. At least that's how I understand Michigan to be and we have about 873 million potholes here.
It was a private driveway entrance and didn't see any potholes. Don't know - maybe I ran over a curb on the right side, but I sure don't remember that.
You can have the wheels repaired for 1/2 of what new ones would be. I recently had an out or round Miata wheel fixed for $140. New replacement would have been $340. I use
Alloy Wheel Repair. Most places they'll even come to you.
This has always seemed to be a problem with wheels on Corvettes. My C7 Zo6 broke and bent a couple times. I'd consider taking that $1850 and invest it into an aftermarket alternative. What's scary is you didn't remember feeling anything, you should feel something significant to damage 2 wheels.
Yah, $1,850 is crazy. OP could upgrade with near new take-offs of just about any factory flavor for less than that. Or buy an entire set of silvers for less than $500.
OP, cancel that order. Get yourself an upgrade or save more than a grand for other upgrades. They are all over FB marketplace here in metro Detroit. Cinci is prolly similar.
Sucks that GM can’t seem to provide a decent wheel that doesn’t bend/crack so easily.
Generally speaking I think the factory forged options have always been pretty good. I've always stuck with one of those wheels as we've got wonderful roads here in Michigan.
Just had to whack something really hard. I know I've hit a couple of sunken man hole covers that jarred me hard and no evidence of any damage, still smooth as glass at triple digits 😎 steering wheel dead center.
Buying used take off's is solid advice, many folks here are aftermarket wheel obsessed. Good for the rest of us normal's
c7 GS and ZO6 rims notorious for cracking not necessarily bending. I went through seven in 19k miles Made me buy the wheel package for the c8 but 18k miles so far no cracked or bent rims. Same roads and same driving conditions
check out eBay, there are a huge amount of OEM Corvette wheels available for cheap, many of them brand new. I have a set of stock Corvette stingray wheels I took off the car as soon as I bought it, I’m gonna sell them soon.

Either buy same wheels from classifieds really cheap or put that $1850 towards some lightweight forged wheels.

^^^ This ^^^ Just had a wheel re-finished after Discount Tire marred the finish when they installed snow tires.

I would guess filing a claim is easy.
Collecting on that claim, when there’s icicles on the hinges to the gates to hell.
