Whatever! None of that complete nonsense is needed in the rental car I had. C8 is great, so no not selling it asshat, I’m saying that there are better out there and would expect that on my 85k C8.
You are the asshat. These seats are ventilated, not cooled…..so there should be no surprise when cold air is not blown through the seat. Or, do you somehow expect a fan to actually cool your house in the summer?
Yep, some cars actually have cooled seats. The C8 just sucks up air from under the seat. Zymurgy's suggestion is the best you can do.
the majority of ventilated seat configurations are designed to pull humidity off your clothes and through the seat exhausting out of the back or bottom.
Several gm (and most other mfrs) vehicles including the camaro and corvettes since C7 blow air onto you. It doesn't work well. Sucking the humidity off you works until all of it is gone and then you dont really feel much until you shut it off and build it up again.
Take a piece of paper and put the seats on full vent in your suv and watch the paper stay on the seat back from the suction.
Then try it in the vette.
It will just fall off.
Maybe it's done that way because of the tight confines of the coupe? blowing hot air off was not an option? Idk.
I came from a s550 mustang GT and I can confirm they are ventilated, not cooled. This very thread is on the mustang forums bc people complain about them all the time.
In Hotlanta for work and have a Mustang rental. Very first thing I noticed when I got settled into the driver seat…ITS COOL! Drove the C8 at home yesterday and it was 90 degrees at home too. My C8 seats being ventilated never cool off, the Mustang was COLD. C’mon GM you can and should do better than a frickin’ pony car!
kind of funny yeah they suck. And I have a 2014 SRT jeep 10 year old vehicle and ventilated seats kick ***

I'm usually cold to begin with so the C8 vented seats are adequate for me. Ive had cars with cooled seats and they always gave me the sensation I peed my pants.

You might have had a Mustang with just vented seats, but my 2019 definitely had cooled seats. Even on a hot day in a hot car you could freeze your butt off before the air conditioning froze the rest of your body. Nothing at all like my wimpy C8 seats.
