I had a 2021 HTC 1LT and now I have a 2024 HTC 1LT. I am very happy with my choice

2LT is definitely the sweet spot and worth the additional cost!

I have a 1LT HTC Z51/Mag ride. If money wasn't an option, I probably would have went with the 2LT. However, after coming from a 3LT C7, I realized I didn't need all the fluff that comes with it. The only thing I miss are the programable seats. Sure the HUD was cool, but I found myself rarely looking at it. Better leather? Maybe, but I never noticed. Front cameras, and more nannies, No Thank You!! GT2 seats might be better, but I have no problems with the GT1 seats. As far as Homelink, you can buy the visor for about $200 and install it yourself. It's very easy. I do like the 3LT leather and stitched air bag cover on the steering wheel, so I bought one and sold the old one. It only cost me $300.

If you're a Driver like me, and money is an issue, then get the 1LT Z51 and mag ride even though you don't track it, and forego the fluff. It's just tighter all around, the way a sports car should be!

1LT owner mostly happy with the features. Only 3 things for me decrease the ease/enjoyment of driving.
1. Lumbar, I just can't get as comfortable as my friends 2LT
2. Front camera, you really have to know the car well when pulling in with a curb up front
3. Memory seats, specifically the feature to auto dip the side mirror to watch your tire and curb. I parallel park a lot and manually have to do it.

There rest of it I am fine with out. I still would pick a 1LT with more options(mag ride, Z51, upgraded wheels) than a 2LT and skip some of the options.

I would rather spend the extra money and get all the options I want.

The problem is they don’t give you that choice, big lump sum for a whole lot of unrelated options. If you only want a few of them you need to decide if they’re worth that much money regardless of the overall value of the total upgrade.

Some other features no one has mentioned that also come with the 2LT are the memory seats, front camera, wireless charging, and universal remote. The memory seats make entering and exiting the car much easier and it's nice to always have the driver's seat in the proper position. The front camera is also invaluable. It will save you from running the front end into a parking block or other object. While the wireless charging and the universal remote may not be "must haves", once you have them you'll wonder how you lived without them.

From a safety standpoint, the blind spot sensors are a must in this car, especially if going with the HTC. The nacelles block a good chunk of the side view. The 1LT also doesn't have the cross-traffic alert. That too is a big safety plus.

As others have said, skip the Z51 package if you don't plan to track the car but spend the money on the 2LT trim. You won't regret it.
If you set your mirrors appropriately there is effectively no blind spot, or so I hear. Angle the mirror so you dont see your car's side panel at all, with it *just* out of view, and youre good. Additionally there are aftermarket convex mirrors that further mitigate any remote issues with blind spots. I'd say blind spot monitoring is the least important reason to opt for 2LT over 1LT. Just my opinion tho. For me its leather GT2 seats available vs the comp sport textile seats available in 1LT. Overall though I find 2LT harder and harder to justify. My next C8 may very well be a 1LT with competition sport bucket seats (textile not leather like the 3LT version) sp long as the steering wheel airbag cover is indeed leather for all trims in 2025. I think they said it is standard now even in 1LT but not 100% sure.

I had a C7 with 2LT. I didn't really use any of the extras. I found the HUD to be too distracting and I never used the PDR. I wanted lower weight for my C8 so I went 1LT. No regrets. Save your money and go on an Alaskan cruise instead. Remember- fewer options means fewer repairs in the future.

I wanted a vert in the low $70K range thus 1LT. GT1 seats fit me a glove. The only 2LT and above option I'd like is the blind spot monitor but the rear view camera helps a lot.
