On my 24 even if I turn off the motion sensor in the menu it will automatically re-enable. Is there a way to prevent this? My sun shade has caused a few false alarms

I would guess at each startup the setting defaults back to the sensor being on. I wonder if that feature could be tuned out if you do not want it, but that could cause issues with the vehicle security in the event someone wants to mess with the car.
If you disable Auto Lock, you might be able to permanently set Interior Intrusion to off. The entire schedule of security alarms are enabled with FOB/Auto Lock. Tilt/Inclination, Doors, Interior Intrusion, et al.
All are armed/disarmed when approaching and leaving the car. So conceivably, with Auto Lock set to off, none of the security features including Intrusion would arm automatically. This risk for a minimal reward.
And the button along the rear view mirror can disable it as a single event. You have to do every time exiting. As Auto Lock would rearm Intrusion every time you left the car.
I'd buy a different sunshade.

I thought about locking my car at car shows with the top down but I'm glad I thought about this sensor before I did it. It would have scared the first person to drop in their paper advertisement for something in my seats to death!

Exactly that happened to mine... I was in the head and came out to hear it going off... Got to the car and saw the guy walking a couple of cars down, then the papers in the driver's seat.

The motion sensor is supposed to be disabled with the top down, that is the way the owner's manual describes it. However a few HTCs (mine included) don't operate the way the manual describes and the motion sensor is enabled with the top down. You have to try it to know.

I have tried it. My wife and I were out running errands and had the top down. She wanted to stay in the car while I went into a store and out of habit I locked it. Guess what I heard about the time I opened the door to go into the store?

Yea, I've done that also. I'm pretty good about disabling it but I forget every once in a while...
Thanks for info! Was looking all over when I removed the rear wheel on my E-Ray. Could not find where button was! Thought perhaps unique to E-Ray. Had to cancel with my FOB when it blasted!
I was hoping that someone had discovered a disable "hack" for the motion sensor ? I have a 2024 - so unfortunately no button.
You also cannot just power up accessory mode and access disable through the menu - you need to have the ignition on. Other cars I've had (e.g. BMW) you just can double click the lock button on the FOB and it disables interior sensors. It doesn't seem there is any way to disable a 2024 without going through the menu with ignition on.

Can it be unplugged?
Tape over hole?
Interested in a fix as it's gone off erroneously on me a few times
