Default C8 tail lights

Who else wishes Corvette didn't completely change the C7/C8 rear body? I'm very happy with my C8; however, I think it would be cool if maybe for the C9 they go back to something like this..

I like the current taillights. Those round lights look really bug eyed.

Yea, I guess they do kind of look a little bug eyed. Do they look more bug eyed on the C8 vs the C6? Maybe the size/position isn't right on the C8.

Never gonna happen. GM now has an "ugly threshold" to maintain no matter what.

The new lights do look good, but they look too much like Camaro tail lights so that's what bothers me about them.

The round tailights look terrible on the new rear end shape. No thanks!

Maybe not necessarily the ones pictured above, but certainly opened to something new. A design similar to Competition Carbon’s version would be cool: https://www.competitioncarbon.com/pr...331fb50e&_ss=r

I agree with you, the new C8 lights do look good. Very few C8 owners want round lights, to much of the past is not a good thing. Time to move forward.

Not again. Round lights just don't fit with the angular design of the C7 & C8. Time marches on, and living in the past just gets you stuck in the past. The C8 taillights look great. I just wish the brake lights were combined with the tails, instead of the turn signals, and that the turn signals were amber.

I really like the C7 and C8 taillights!
The C7 & C8 are great looking in and out.
I can't image the C9 looking better. What's coming, we can only image.

Both are 2024 models:

I don't see the Corvette as looking like the Camaro....

Yikes, the C8's rear looks even more boxy and awkward in that picture. I think the worst angle is from below looking up towards the rear. The cabin disappears and the rear end by-itself looks really strange.

I think this is the worst angle view for the C8. The cabin disappears and all you see is this boxy thing.

Much prefer the round tail lights. The rear of the car is by far the worst view. It’s too busy and the current taillights on their own are also far too busy.

Take a page from Ferrari and Porsche design and gently update the round tail lights…. Get rid of the rear grills and replace it with a smooth tail panel.

The C8 from the side is gorgeous, from the front is very good. The rear view not so much and would look so much better with the C6 rear…. Simple, smooth. No grates and round tail lights. Ferrari’s mid engine cars have two round taillights and Corvettes have four. At least they should 🤓

100% agree. It’s the worst view by far. The C6 rear was perfect for a modern Corvette.

Get rid of the grills under the round tail lights and you’re good to go….
