What are you seeing on coolant usage? What is normal or are you having to add any? Thanks in advance for your responses.
I’m at 7K miles on my ‘24 and decided to add a couple of bottles of Redline’s Water Wetter yesterday. When I removed the cap on the reservoir, I pumped out around 20ozs and the level was still ABOVE the full cold level marking in the tank AFTER I’d pumped that much out…
I’ve never heard of Redline Water Wetter. What does it do? Sam
Reduces surface tension to increase coolant's ability to transfer heat. The old school method of accomplishing something similar was a few drops of dishsoap in your coolant. https://www.redlineoil.com/waterwetter
Most chain auto parts stores carry it, along with all your online retailers...
The WaterWetter made a huge improvement in my C7's cooling, but those things were notorious for heat-related issues from an overly-stressed cooling system. The C8's cooling system is much more robust, but I still found some improvement to be had. My car now runs steady 170F's (engine/oil/DCT) even during 115F summer TX heat. As info, I also have headers/cats/exhaust.
