What do you use to clean the remaining WD40 oily film off? It attracts dust like a magnet.
Wheels are ceramic coated now but used wd-40 to clean wheels in the past. Spray a little on a cloth and it works well to clean the wheels. Then take another micro fiber cloth and just wipe it off any excess.
I use a number of Adam’s products and have never been disappointed.
I've been a Griot's user for years .. products from washes (waterless, ceramic, brilliant finish, foamin, )and waxes (paste, liquid, spray on) ... detailers, interior, etc etc,.. and have recently (since acquiring the C*) been moving to Adams. . In general I prefer the Adams but some specifics I think the Griots work better.... Specifically the Spray on Wash better than Adams, and Interior Cleaner. .. Oh, yeah,.. their Best of Show Detailer can be used in direct sunlight on a hot car. ... But for finishing up, Adams Slick and Slide is WOW! (even over Advance Graphene Coating which I had done to the wheels when the car was done.)
Generally I believe that staying in one product line is the most productive and one can't go wrong with Mother's, Maguiars, Griots, Adams, or others. (but these are the top)
I agree with keeping it in the family, to a degree. When it comes to cleaners, and the like, I don’t think it’s necessary to stay in the family, but once you get to sealants waxes and ceramics, it really helps to stay within that manufacturer. I use a lot of meg‘s cleaners And Duragloss has fantastic wheel products, and they are remarkably cheap. when it comes to the sealants, waxes and ceramics, I really like Gyeon and Carpro.
Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Detailer works great on ceramic coated surfaces after a wash. Read a number of reviews including one from a guy that tried different products on different panels of his car, and tried the detail spray for the first time yesterday on my ceramic coated truck. Restores the hydrophobic properties extremely well.
For washes, it seems like many of the pH neutral (recommended for ceramic coated surfaces) don't foam as well. Other Sio2 or graphene infused products like Adam's Graphene Shampoo have a pH of between 8-9 (very basic) so I wouldn't want to use it every wash. I am still on the hunt for something that refreshes the hydrophobic properties of the coating during the wash. The Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Detailer that I mentioned above does a great job, but it's a second step to the wash process going on post-wash, albeit it is super easy to apply without streaks, and can go on anything (paint, glass, etc).
I owned/opperated a chain of auto parts stores for years and one of the advantages was allowing me to test MANY car care products on the market. While some were better than others, I always came back to Meguiars products.

Interesting about the ph of Adams Graphene Shampoo. ... I have a gallon or more of it, but have been using up my other older products before using that much. As to refresh during wash..... One of my old products is Griots Ceramic Wash and Wax. .. Seems to help a bit,.....
Also, I use Adams Graphene BOOST as a drying agent. .. One or two sprays per panel. Then I dry with a microfiber drying towel. (never being able to quite get the hang of blow drying)
I'm always looking for a better product and recently tried this wheel and tire cleaner by Optum. Seemed to work very well. Prior to this, I have always had to use separate products for the tires and wheels.

Here's a decent article - obviously biased towards Adams products because they wrote the article, but it talks about the Graphene Shampoo being used for stubborn contamination. Obviously, this pertains to vehicles with Ceramic coatings. I coat my wheels, so I treat the wheels like the rest of the vehicle.
i’m very impressed with Carpro ELIXR as a follow up to a ceramic coated surface. I use it, especially on my wheels. It is a combination of their rinseless detailer, and their SIO2 product treatment called RELOAD … Spray on wipe off, instant gloss…
