If you been on this forum as long as I have you would have seen some of the mistakes that left the factory, it happens from time to time, and not just to GM cars
I’m not a Conti fan but I find it real disturbing him saying they are seeing a lot of intransit damage. I happen to be at their shop a few years back when a transport dropped off a bunch of new cars. Looked like every tire was ridden against the ramps coming off the transport. So he’s getting cars with scratches paint damage and a week or so later the excited buyer gets a car that’s been repaired and no one knows. This isn’t a coughlin issue but a gm issue.
I wonder if 2 colors of seats would happen at an upscale manufacturer? Many years ago I was on a factory tour and at break time the workers sat in the cars for their smoke break. That does not happen today but the lack of pride is apparent.
I bet it was ordered in error like that somehow. You would think people on the line would notice two different seats unless it was in the build spec/sheet/etc.

its like someone spitting on your hamburger
As far as transit damage, no manufacturer is exempt as they all basically use similar trucking companies. I have had everything from a VW to a Rolls Royce come off a truck damaged and was repaired before delivery. GM had no better or worse record for this problem from the experience of receiving tens of thousands of cars of many makes.
Probably swapped the seats himself to get some clicks...
Most likely. I made the mistake of trying to watch some of his videos based on their titles only to find the topic listed content is hidden in a sea of off-topic crap.

I guess anything can happen, but that one should have been rather obvious, especially when the seats were installed as the car was going down the line.
