I had the side windows tinted yesterday by a reputable shop and notice when I got home there are a few white dots in various places both on the drivers and passenger windows. The shop said this was normal and the dots should disappear within a week.
This is the first car that I had the windows tinted, so please forgive me if this is a stupid question.
It's usually trapped water from install and they do usually go away. I know in the past on vehicles that I've had tinted they want them in the sun to heat up, partially for this reason.
35% also is a really nice sweet spot for Tint. You can perfectly see through it at night, yet it gives you that nice dark look during the day. 20% is also works well, but it will be pretty dark if you’re out in the middle of the boonies where you don’t have any urban lighting… But still OK…. I’ve done a lot of tinting on my cars, and go between 20 and 35% a lot.
I just had a 30% LLumar IRX IR blocking Nano-Ceramic... like the tint a lot (except for the white spots). This is Day 2 and the Vette has been sitting in the sun, does not look like there is any change. Will give it 7 days before I call the installer. Mike B is correct. The tint is guaranteed for life !

Have you tried working out the spots as if they were bubbles? Maybe you can help move them to the edges... ?
Hello X86...No, I have not tried that. Instead of me trying to resolve the issue, since the guarantee is "no question asked" and should only take an hour or so, I think the best course of action is to wait and if not resolved, let the shop remove and install a new sheet.
A quick update. I was in the neighborhood of the tint shop and stopped by for them to check the spots. The manager took a microfiber towel and was able to get all the white spots out of the passenger side. He said they were water trapped between the film and glass. When he looked at the driver's side, he said they were dust that got trapped. He apologized and said if I could wait an hour, he would re-do the tint. Kind of a pain, but now the two windows look perfect
