Default Leather help

So I was trying to clean my headrest with a damp cloth and after rubbing it a little it seems like the coating has come off? It's this a warranty thing? Looks pretty dang horrible.

Wow, how hard were you rubbing it and were you using anything on the cloth besides water or a mild soap? I doubt it would be covered under warranty unless you can show the "coating" comes off too easily.

I would take it to my dealer for a warranty replacement cover.

i have a 2020 Stingray with Natural seats and 2024 Z06 with Natural seats and they both clean just fine with no visible wear in either case.

If you can demonstrate it comes too easily in another spot front of a dealer they should warranty it.

Good luck. Let us know the outcome.
Might they say the cause is from your head or hat, rubbing against the headrest?

If not covered, then a competent upholstery shop should be able to blend that area.

So much for the factory installed super duper protectant many are always raving about. Good luck with the warranty claim. They honor it.

Same thing would have happened, the spot would just be gray against the jet black and look just as bad.

I agree with mtaylor. Need to order a new sea of back cover and find out who your dealer uses for interior repair. Not cheap but will be the best repair. Just went through this with attempted theft damage to my former ZL1 Camaro.

I wouldn't offer to repeat the event. Just go in and complain.

I've rubbed the leather on my Rover 100x harder and never had an issue. This is some shitty leather.

Supposed to be cleaned with a damp soft microfiber cloth...First with water and then if it doesn't come out with GM approved cleaner...
