Basically, you get to use the 4G connection that your car already uses internally.
Meaning also the My Chevrolet app on your phone can communicate with your car. You can start ot stop it, lock or unlock, locate it, check gas or tires, etc.
Your car can use the connection to download apps to the infotainment system, download Google maps, etc. or a passenger can connect to the car wifi. Etc.
You get it free for a while in the hope that you might pay for it in the future. You can use your phone to do many (but not all) of the same things.
