…if you wrap the edges in body color, it’ll also have the carbon fiber top look from a distance!
My C8 is black and the only way to tell if I have the transparent top on or black one on is from the inside… I also don’t use the transparent top during the summer months…it gets kinda hot…

I bought dual roofs on my 2000 C5 and never ended up using the clear top because it didn't line up as nice as the body colored panel and I never bothered to have the dealer or myself adjust it.. I had a clear roof on my C4 though which was nice.
Currently "too hot" for the transparent top but this suction shade allows me to keep the top on. Shade is very quick and easy to remove so I can enjoy the transparent top when temps drop in the afternoon/evening.|
I ordered mine with the dual roof package. I have the full body stripes so they put the stripes on the painted top and left the tinted top alone. If I had just ordered the tinted top they would have put the stripes on it which would kind of defeat the purpose. My wife likes the transparent top for a more open feel. Like many have said it’s great for the cooler months but not in the heat of the summer.
Love my transparent top. Have dual tops, however never use the painted. Don't get the 'heat' thing as I drove mine practically all day at 103* during our recent heat wave and was fine, Maybe my AC is just better than others.
Took over a month but finally arrived. Love the look. I have had a few Vettes over the years and only one had the transparent roof but the car was painted black so you could not tell unless really close. Have torch red now and gives it a totally different look.
