Seen some threads on this, most were dated so I am hoping a better solution exists. Anyone find a good product to help cool down the HTC trunk temp?
Just did mine (coupe) and used stick-on heat shield option used by most. Unaware of any "better" solution available. FWIW, I did the usual layer under the trunk carpet PLUS the airbox cover.
I would love a solution like this to cool the rear engine bay when I get home. I pop my Mustang's hood open when I get home.

But, how would you channel the air into the engine bay?

I’m thinking that if I have the downtime maybe the winter removing the entire exhaust system and sending it to Jet Hot for ceramic coating would reduce temps dramatically. Add the shielding and the trunk should be almost bearable

Ceramic coating the exhaust makes a huge difference. My engine bay temps are lower now with Cerakote titanium ceramic coated headers + cats than when stock.
here it is, BBTO Heat Reflective Sheet Adhesive Backed Aluminized Fiberglass Heat Shield Tape Protection Barrier Heat Shield Resistant Material for Hose and Auto Use Heat Insulation Sheet(Gold, 24 x 48 Inch) https://a.co/d/9hFEDNe

This is exactly what I did too except the insulation I used was only $ 28.00 on Amazon. It was over an inch thick and the sticky stuff was like tar. Only thing that will clean it off is gasoline and turpentine. My advice is when you remove the trunk make sure you don't lose one of the pop-outs or any of the 20 some screws. Second thing is lay it on the trunk's bottom and mark it with a sharpy because if you peel the paper off the sticky side you will get that stuff all over yourself and once that stuff sticks on the back side of the trunk, it's not movable. But it cut the trunk temp at least 20 degrees and there's U-Tubes showing the whole job. Remember that the trunk is now an inch thicker so when put in all back together so it's a lot tighter to reassemble. Of course that was 3 years ago and it probably costs more now.

A nooob C8 owner here so sorry for the Q's. You took out the trunk shell and put that gold stuff facing the motor or am I not following your methodology.
Thanks for any light thrown my way!

I'm using the Block It insulation from TKO. I did a short run test on Friday. Ambient temp was 84*. Cold temp in trunk was 86* average from multiple measurement locations. Frunk was same. After a 10 mile trip with engine temp at 168* my trunk temp average was 95*. The frunk was actually hotter at an average of 102*. Car is a 23 Z06 coupe with Z07 package. I plan to do a side by side one hour trip with my car and a similar 24 without the heat shield and I'll post results.
