The transmission fluid change is due at 3 years or 45000 miles, whichever comes first. There is no flush involved unless you also change the DCT filter, which is due at 7500 miles, 22,500 miles and then every 22,500 miles after that (no time requirement for the filter).
Purchased a scan tool and pressurized fluid dispenser, so the first DCT fluid/filter/flush in my garage cost $490 and 3 hours of time. Going forward, I will do DCT fluid/filter/flush service yearly for $220.
There is some debate on needing to do the flush, but, since the below scan tool can do the flush (and many other bi-directional functions) on 2024-later Stingray's and other GM vehicles, I bought it.
Valvoline recommends their DCT fluid specifically for C8 Corvette DCT's, and the slight gear whine my DCT had with the stock fluid is gone.
DCT fluid/filter/flush service at the Chevy dealers in my area is commonly around $1500. One of these dealers was caught scamming oil changes.......customer asked and paid $150 for synthetic oil change, dealer used cheap bulk oil instead.....on Corvette's and Cadillac's.
On a $1,500 DCT oil/filter change that involves 2.5 hours of book labor and where used DCT oil that drains out clean and golden looking.....hmmm......if dealers will scam a $100 oil change........how would you know??.........easy - do it yourself.
My car is in the shop for the 3-year flush & fill now. The service manager is insisting the car will need a new internal filter, transmission pan gasket and pan bolts as well. I do not believe this is correct. Anyone know for sure?
Internal filter is the money maker for the dealer. I could find nothing in owner's manual about changing out the internal filter if you are NOT having problems with your transmission. My dealer wanted to do the same thing and I told him no. They just drained the fluid and refilled. It took 12 qts of transmission fluid at 44.95 a qt. labor, plus environment fees, tax, was 1,020.00. I had already replaced the outside filter so this was just a simple drain and refill.
The internal filter is not a maintenance item. For sure.

What did they quote for parts and labor on this?....the pan filter is not routine maintenance.
My AllData subscription only goes to MY22 for the C8 Stingray. Looking at my car, the DIE3 M1L DCT's on late 2023-later cars require cradle removal to change the pan filter because the rear pan bolts are hidden under the crossmember. There is no way to access them otherwise.
*** Update *** Apparently the same procedure is used as per DIE1 and DIE2 M1L DCT's.......to access the rear DCT pan bolts, engine and trans mount bolts are removed, and the assembly is jacked up to provide access clearance.

I believe as part of a just DCT filter change the computer program used by the dealer does a exercize where the solenoids are activated which is also refered to as a "flush" as it pushes particulates from the transmission into the filter

I was quoted a staggering $1,900.00 for everything including the internal filter, gaskets, bolds, fluid, and labor. The funny thing is that this dealership has always been more than fair & honest, in many cases telling me that I did not have to buy certain parts & services, when I thought I did, in one case even refusing to charge me for a $200.00 + repair that had made to one of my cars. I don't think they are trying to rip me off as much as they truly believe these things are needed.
I paid $1,100 a year ago for a DCT Filer change (just external) and 2 extra quarts (feel the car shifts smoother and quitter). Book is like 3.5 hours. Internal filter does not need to be changed
By canister is that the internal or the external filter? Book for the external filter is 1.5 hours. For the external filter $380-$550 depending on markup and labor rate. Only requires about .2 of a quart replacement fluid

Which happens naturally as you drive and it is not something that you have to do if you change the fluid yourself.
It was said that Chevy wrote a program that exercises the solenoids. It wasn’t clear that it is the same that a dealer does as a part of the DCT filter service. In my opinion it is not a sufficient replacement.
I just did the drain and refill including adding an extra 2 qts. Total cost - $300 and less than 2 hours of my time with no chance of the dealer screwing something up.
