Sorry - another DCT filter change question
Thanks
Chuck said that it has changed to +/-1000 miles but did not give the tech-doc-number.
For 2024's, you now have up to 3 years to get the free service. Only 2 years for a 2023.
Your Corvette service dealership can verify these points.

First TechLink is NOT a GM official DOC defining requirements.
Second "Should Be" will not do well in Court when you try to sue GM for NOT honoring a warranty when they say they will not pay for the new $20,000 DCT you need!
PS: Your Dealer Service Depart May Have No Idea, Many Don't
But Judge, the Dealer Told Me....

My advice - stick with the +/-500.

A number of posts with folks having DCT CELs early on. When Dealer Tech told GM Service the Code # (as they must to get paid for any repair) most were told do a FLUSH. NO New Filter, NO Fluid change JUST a Flush. A Flush is the 1st step in the GM DCT filter change procedure. It removes debris (which most probably occurred in the 1st 500 to 1000 miles) and moves it into the filter housing and filter. In most cases the CEL was gone and did not come back.
Yep I want to get rid of that early wear-in debris from the DCT.
Then, as required, when it reaches 8000 miles in year 3 will have all the DCT Fluid changed (as is required for all year C8's as a minimum.) Will have to pay for that. Once the aluminum rear aero panel with it's ~30 bolts is removed for the DCT Fluid change, the labor to change the Filter is maybe 5 minutes extra (plus ~10 minutes Flush time.) Will pay for a new DCT Filter at the time as GM required at 7000 to 8000 miles regardless if it was changed early.

Some think it says change the oil every 7,500 miles, but it does not. It says check the engine oil life and change "if necessary". The OLM may go as long as 7,500 miles, but but takes other factors into account and will often indicate a need to change the oil before 7,500 miles.
The concept of an xxxxx miles service really does not exist for this car, because the DCT external canister filter, the engine oil changes, and transmission fluid change are on different schedules, and for most are not going to be coincident.
Engine Oil: Change the oil at least once per year or when the oil life system says to (the oil life system includes the one year requirement) whichever is first.
DCT external canister filter: Change it between 7000-8000 miles, then at 22,500 miles, then every 22,500 miles after, or every 24 hours of track use, or when the filter life monitor (if you have one) says to change it.
Transmission flud: Change it at least every three years, or when the fluid life monitor says so (the fluid life monitor does not include the three year requirement), every 45000 miles, or every 24 hours of track use, whichever is first.
The later manuals also include a statement that says "Or when the CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID SOON message displays, change the fluid and external canister filter within the next 1 000 km (620 mi)."
As for the DCT filter change interval, it's essential to follow the latest recommendations in your vehicle's manual, but if you're still unsure, consulting with your dealer can provide clarity. Keeping your DCT filter in top shape is crucial for smooth operation and longevity.
If you're looking for a high-quality replacement filter, consider Bharat Filters. They're well-regarded for their performance and durability, ensuring your transmission stays in peak condition. You can find a range of Bharat Filters, including those specifically designed for DCTs, at Autozilla. Check them out here: Autozilla Bharat Filters. Using a premium filter can make all the difference in maintaining your vehicle's performance.
Hmm, sounds like a sales pitch with incorrect "mother and apply pie" statements thrown in!
"It's great that you're paying close attention to your vehicle's maintenance schedule! The specifics can indeed vary by model year and manufacturer updates, so it's always a good idea to stay informed."
Nope the requirements have been the same for all model year C8's just have to read the Owner's Manul carefully!

Many Dealers have no idea or push their own agenda. Some won't do a FLUSH first which is a GM 1st Step in the procedure, "To get any wear-in debris into the filter housing and filter BEFORE It is replaced along with ~8oz of fluid in the housing!
The basic issue with some forum members is:
- They don't read the Owner's Manual (hard to blame them if they did and didn't find the answers)
- Some don't want to accept that:
- The engine oil change is NOT only dependent on miles BUT the OLM governs. It keeps track of engine revolutions, oil temp after cold starts, time as well as mile etc. Even if you only drove 1000 miles at end year 1 it will indicate change is required.
- That ALL DCT fluid MUST be replaced as a minimum every year 3 regardless of low miles as some of the fluid additives are time depletion NOT miles dependent
- Per GM if you change the DCT Filter early it MUST be changed again between 7000 and 8000 miles. GM's Warranty GM's rules.

It is scarry with these Bots and Spiders scouring the Net 24/7 and know within hours when I post something new on my website. That is how all these emails and when searching, ADs for things of some interest to you pop up on your screen. Several years ago I paid like $1000 to what were called 250,000 "impressions" where my simple AD would pop up on top of a search IF anyone in their search string used Key Words I picked. In my case had a few like "weld shielding gas." Folks spend millions on that actively today. Some like Amazon, many millions.
Even in my case that was a $10,000+ deal I negotiated as I often did in my prior life from folks selling advertising. The will always hook you into trying by cutting price. Got many free Magazine Ads to "let me try!"
