I have a 19 C7 Z51 and saw a 23 C8 Z51 priced right and test drove it with the intent to trade up. I hated the mirror both on cam and regular mirror and the looking through two windows. Just was not right for me do you get used to it?
I love the camera. You can set it wide so that it covers a lot of the Blindspot, and after about a week, my eyes totally adapted to it. I wish all my cars had it

I got used to the camera. The only thing that bothers me is daylight headlights seem to flicker. Of all the cars out there, the Corvette should have the blindspot indicators in the side-view mirrors as standard equipment.

Yep, I attribute my not having an accident with another car in 64 years driving to knowing were ALL cars are around me ALL the time AND Luck! The TV Mirror is the best thing since sliced bread to help that effort. I have mine set wide, far better than the Corvette Blind Spot Detection.
The pic below is based on the SAE Tech paper on defensive driving. Yep in the early 1990's when I was published they discussed setting your mirrors so you can't see your car etc. That helps see cars on your rear fenders. BUT they spent a page discussing why those are not the main cars to watch! It's the cars that are coming up fast behind that will soon be their. They discussed how you had to follow cars in the center mirror as they could be viewed in the door mirrors. Pic below condenses that to a few words many don't rear of understand. My C4s and C6 coupes had a good view of the rear thru the center mirror. My 2 C7s were bad. My Grand Sport with spoiler side extensions were as bad as a ragtop Vette with the top up. I even added oval "blind spot" mirrors to help. With the TV mirror set to a wide view where I drove my C8 Coupe for 4 years and now my E-Ray not only doesn't need blind spot mirrors but i can see cars on both lanes next to mine from far back until they are just about in my door mirrors. Best Thing Since Sliced Bread!
First day I used it thought not going to work with my Processive Transition glasses I were all the time. Looked a bit blurry. BUT found the KEY. Can't have the mirror set as if trying to look thru the hack on a coupe (which is poor at best.) Have to have the mirror perpendicular to your line of sight! Yep like the gal tilts her mirror to put on he lipstick! Solved the issue. Not one blur in the 4 years I had my 2020 C8 or 6 months with my E-Ray
This graphic was based on the many page SAE Tech Paper on defensive driving. However they took a full page to discuss what they thought was most important. NOT seeing you car in door mirrors that they discuss BUT following a car from the center mirror to the door mirrors. BUT the C7 coupe view was poor almost as bad as a ragtop Vette with the top up! I added oval "blind spot" mirrors. With the C8 TV mirror set wide I see cars from far away to right on my rear fenders. Best safety device I have ever had.
Funny when I read the 1990 SAE Tech paper I said heck I have been doing that since I started driving in 1959. Then tought way. Built my first staring when I was 16. A '41 Ford Coupe I stuffed in an Olds engine. Dove fast! No radar in the late 50's early '60s. If I saw a car coming up fast it was a cop or someone crazy! Slowed down in either case!
I got used to it fairly quick and now use it exclusively. The only problem is when I take my top off on my Coupe, there is a glare in / on it that makes it useless and I go back to the normal mirror. Otherwise, I love it.....

Hmm, never took the top off my 2020 C8 in 4 years or my E-Ray! Be just as happy if it were fixed.
I use the video. There is a period of time that it takes getting used to it.My "mirror" is adjusted for the video camera, but when it is on the normal rearview setting it show my belly, so not at all adjusted the same as when you would use a normal rearview mirror. I like the factory video setting, neither narrow or wide angle and have the outside mirrors set out wide as they should be, no blind spots. I took the targa roof off one time, to install a harness bar, doubt it will come off again. You do get the "flashing" of other car headlights and driving lights if they are LEDs as the LEDs and video go in and out of sync, like the wagon wheels going forward and then backward in the movies.

If you use it as you would any other mirror, you will get used to it. If you're driving and focus solely on any moving image, it is possible to be easily distracted.
Either way, don't let that stop you from the purchase. Check the service history and make your decision from there.
