Default C8 Now Totally Different

Picked up my car from service due to transmission issues.

Dealer reset computer, processed several updates, when back and forth with GM, and could not duplicate skipping.

However, a few things did change about my car.

(1) The V8 to V4 back to V8 shift is now imperceptible - I mean completely unnoticeable.
(2) My rearview mirror will now work in camera mode when the top is closed.
(3) The audio is noticeably better/fuller sounding on all settings.
(4)The car just feels faster.
(5) An annoying scratching/slipping sound that seemed to be coming from the rear differential is gone.
(6) The transmission skipping problem has not recurred.

It's nice to hear something good about dealerships for a change. I get really tired of hearing about stealerships.

Sounds like you have a good dealer and a competent tech. Glad things are better with your car.

It’s great to hear about a ‘good’ dealer experience! Who is the dealer we should be visiting?

GM Rear Camera View

When the top is closed on the HTC, the rear view mirror is supposed to be able to show a rear camera video feed to help with visibility. Mine never worked until receiving my car back.

whole thing plays out like a placebo effect by a good service advisor. Enjoy. Regardless you're happy all that counts.

I interpreted closed to mean top down my mistake. I thought they figured a way to reroute the live feed from the backup camera, which GM should have done. There is a way to keep the backup camera feed on while driving with the HTC top stowed but it will only show on the infotainment screen and not the mirror.
