Memory Seats !
Drivers side memory seat functions didn’t work from day 1; no beeps, no memory. Then last week after a routine software update, the memory button function sprang into action. It now works perfectly as described in manual. Never had time to get it to dealer, so I’m feeling good as I use seat retraction and setting 1 each day.

My memory seats work fine, but just curious, what year is your C8? My 2022 has not received any OTA updates in over a year. Always thought that GM was maybe working the bugs out of the OTA update process that they were having, before sending any more out. On the other hand, if the car doesn’t need any updates than that’s just fine with me.

I also own a new 2024 C8 and also have never been able to get the memory seat(s) to work. And, do you really have to get and use a scan card to have this memory seat work? Why is that the case in Chevrolet's flagship automobile?

Nope, mine worked from Day 1 in my 2020 C8 and my 7 month old 2024 E-Ray. If you tried everything else and don't want to go to the dealer, just like a computer occasionally best to unplug and have it reboot. May be a good idea to remove the battery cable and reconnect after ~10 minutes.

Did GM attach the connector to the rear of the switch? That is a remote possibility if you have no signal

Just a follow up on my Memory Seats problem on my '24 Stingray. I did talk with my salesman I bought the car from and he essentially straightened me out. But, I now have two kind of annoying issues that I figured one of you folks could help me with.
1) The drivers seat backs up as it should when you shut down the engine and open the door. But, when you get back into the car the door, the drivers seat doesn't return to the driver's position, So, you then have to hold the push button on your seat number where you set it up. Is that normal?
2) Every time I have to hold that button to bring the seat back to driver's position, it also moves the position of both left and right side view mirrors...not a big deal dialing them in each time, but what the hell causes that?
Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like your memory settings aren't set to the correct fob. The DIC will display which driver it thinks you are when it detects your fob. Make sure you are using the same fob that your settings are set to.
