Default Help on lug nuts!

I just bought a beautiful set of monoblock forged wheels. Got new tires from DiscountTire, went to install them, and the OEM lugnuts are too big! I don't recall seeing anything in the literature about the new wheels needing afermarket lugnuts. Suggestions appreciated!

Most aftermarket are smaller. I believe mine are 19mm and when I bought my wheels they came with new lug nuts to match.

Same with mine. The aftermarket wheels I had were 19mm as well. Not sure if all aftermarket wheels are like that. Mine also included new lug nuts.

Yep, it looks like I need different lug nuts. It's funny, I bought these directly from the source, from a salesman, who had the exact same wheels on his C8. I guess he didn't install them himself!

19mm lug nuts came with the Forgeline DR1s for my C8Z. I also need (and have) a thin wall 19 mm socket to fit in the lug holes.

Yes, I had quite an animated text with the salesman I purchased them from. It will be taken care of. I just didn't know, I had four different sets of wheels on my C6 ZR1, including some high dollar aftermarkets, and all of them used oem lug nuts. Learn some **** everyday!

A lot of aftermarket wheels require smaller lugs. Kinda part of the game unfortunately and can get a bit confusing. My Signature Wheels were compatible with the stock 22mm's.

Follow up, ordered some splined lug nuts off Amazon Prime yesterday morning, got them yesterday evening, confirmed fit, put them on this morning! I'll post some pictures after I recover. I still do most of my own work, but at seventy, it gets harder!

Great wheel company/vendor leaving you in the lurch with such a basic issue... not. Glad you've worked it out.

The wheels are stunning, and I got them at an extremely attractive price. It just baffles me that there would be no mention of needing aftermarket lugs, which I certainly would have bought from the manufacturer, if I had known I needed them. All's well that ends well!!

At 75+ more-so, after 80 not many work on their hobby cars. Glad things worked out for you, enjoy the wheels!

I really like the results! 20, 21 forged monoblock, made in the USA!
