Default Changing Z Button to Red

I’ve seen videos of removing two side panels from steering wheel then two nuts. Raising air bag then replacing red button. Isn’t there an easier way. I hate to start taking apart things on brand new car even though it looks fairly simple. But if I’d do it i would probably screw up something. Can you just pry off button and push on a new one? Has anyone tried this? I tried to find a stick on but haven’t had any luck.

There are 2 clips on that button on the side of the airbag. The reason the air bag is removed is for easy access to those clips without breaking anything. Really easy install. Most don't even remove the battery since the airbag is not unplugged or anything. I think its best you find stickon if you are apprehensive to remove the 2 10mm bolts on each side of the airbag.

If you go at the plastic from one side, it may be possible to unclip without moving anything but risk to break clips. Its a cool mod. Good luck

I ordered the button from paragon $38 and it’s identical to the one I ordered on Amazon for $10.

That's because they all come from the same shop out of China!

Hopefully a thirds a charm. Any other instructions would be appreciated. BTW. IM not without knowledge in automotive repair and electronics so I don’t know why this seems so simple but I seem to have problems???
