Mine is aggravating! I have had an issue because I leave my frunk unlatched all the time in the garage because of my battery tender. The quickest way I can get my trunk to close is to open it up all the way, then put it down and hit the unlock where ever. Then I have to open it again and then close it to get it to latch.

Run your tender cord to the rear of the frunk lid and out at the slot in the corner near the windshield. You can then close the frunk completely.
Got it to close completely. Had to close hood til it latched then had to push down and then push the open button twice under the light while pushing down on the hood. Thanks for everyone’s help.

It’s because the car goes to sleep after a while. So you have to wake it up to get that to work again. I just hit the frunk open button under the headlight and then it wakes up and works the expected way.

I've even gone as far as to get in the car and put it in accessory mode. I still have to do what I described above. Maybe mine has a glitch?

I wake mine up after using battery maintainer by hitting the unlock button twice on my key fob, works every time and no problem with the soft close on my frunk.
Had an issue with mine yesterday. Soft close would not close it. I pushed down flush thinking it would grab it and lock but didn’t happen. I did the unlock again with remote, then closed it as usual and soft close grabbed it right away and pulled it down.

I thought it was just me and an intermittently working soft close mechanism . Good suggestions here that I'll try . Coming from a '23 to a '24 I don't really see a need for this change. My '23 latch was stiff and took a good push to shut for a short while but became very easy to close with little effort.
Some nannies are just stupid...this is one of them. What's next, electrically controlled sun visors so you don't have to lift your arm?
Well, now that you mentioned it... If they did devise such a mechanism, it would have two electric motors per sun visor (one on each side of the sun visor), with fragile plastic gears that instantaneously strip if you inadvertently forgot they were motor driven tried to put it down by hand, with at least 4 sensors per visor (two encoders on each sun visor to be sure that the two motors did not get out of sync and have the visor rotate down, or back up, lop-sided and two other sensors for "overtorque monitoring" (one on each motor on each side of each visor) so that the computer doesn't let motors don't hurt themselves if they did get out of sync. It would have its own specific OBD code so that if the Electronic Sun Visor System (ESVS) were to malfunction, the BCM would report and register that code, throw a check engine light, and illuminate the familiar DIC message saying "REAR AXLE SYSTEM OFF - SERVICE ESVS SOON".
And then............ when you have waited your couple of weeks for your appointment time to finally arrive at the dealer, they have the car for a week and call you late afternoon on Friday and to tell you "we found the problem - one of your sun visor motors failed, and the replacement motor is on backorder. We should have it in about 2 weeks. Unfortunately we cannot let you take your car back because it is unsafe to drive with a non-functional driver's side sun visor, especially if you travel east to west any time after noon. We'll give you a call when your car has been repaired and ready for you to pick up".
