Similarities between the 458's F136 and Z06's LT6 are a result of function. Namely the triple butterfly-valved Helmholtz-resonator bisecting the two intake manifolds. Plus the fact that each manufacturer's manifolds can come red from factory.
A metal mesh grille held down by eight screws down the centerline of the 488's and F8's F154 is similar to what's on the ZR1's LT7. And the intake manifolds are colored (red or blue) with a crinkle finish.
The Stingray's LT2 seems derived from the LT7 carrying over its centerline ribbing minus the mesh grille.
Not a fair comparison. Corvette recently caught up to where Ferrari was 20 yrs ago...
That might apply to the C8Z. With the ER, GM is on the bleeding edge of performance hybrids. Probably the first time in a long time that GM has been at the tip of the spear on something.

As is the case for any such "judgements," purely subjective and often quite biased.
The engines undeniably share the features I specified. A triple butterfly-valved Helmholtz resonator was a signature of the 458 engine's intake plenum that's also on the LT6. The LT7 has a metal grille mesh center strip held down by 8 screws like the 488/F8 engines do. The LT2's cover has a ribbed center strip like the LT7. These similarities are all hard facts, no matter of opinion or judgement here.
This isn't even a criticism or opinion of who's doing what better. I'm simply stating observations of factual similarities. Not even implying any judgement. Y'all are doing that on your own lol
My Ferrari is so basic and so old that it doesn't even have cup holders, much less power-assisted steering..... 6 months shy of ABS too...

The C8 was loosely based on the Ferrari 458. If your F car is older than this, it would help explain your response. I had a few older European sports cars -- neither of which had cup holders. Things evolve over time.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
