2023's and up require DexosR engine oil, while previous model years called for Dexos2. [DexosR is backward compatible in place of Dexos2]

2020's don't support wireless Android Auto/CarPlay and don't allow you to select PTM from the Z Mode button. 2021's got a slightly revised DIC display and user interface. 2024's got a switch to Android OS, it is more difficult to use built-in navigation without an OnStar subscription, and the AA/CarPlay interface is smaller. 2024 also got some additional safety/convenience features. I think the digital rear view mirror became standard on all trim levels in 2024. The emergency rear trunk key was removed around 2023.

Mid MY’23 you don’t have to top off oil on Z51’s for track use or something like that. I believe MY24 added video review mirror as standard equipment across all trims.

Default Plan B is easier........

Make a list of the things that are important to you. Want, don't want, need don't need. Narrow a second list to include just deal breakers. There and not there. Then match a car you've found to your lists.

Starting in late 2023 you don't need to add 2 liters of fluid to the DCT for track use. On any C8, but you shouldn't be tracking a non-Z51 anyway.

Don't you mean DELETION of low spoiler and splitter on Z51? [RPO AF1 Aero Delete option, new for 2022 model year]

More on MY23 changes fleshed out with a bit more detail than previously mentioned:
  • The exact VIN with the DCT oil pan updated to have baffles and not require topping off for track use is VIN # P5137263 and up.
  • Black exhaust tips became a factory option. There were other options like stealth badging, etc. but black tips are an instantly identifiable exterior tell that a car is highly likely from MY23+.
  • Rear trunk lock cylinder was deleted making it the lightest known model year (MY24 saw the addition of a standard rearview mirror camera and extra safety sensors down to the 1LT trim which made it heavier/more complex).
