I just replace them. I have done so on my 2023 3 times now. LOL If you are referring to the factory "poverty splitter" they are pretty flexible. Mine are fiberglass so not to forgiving. I wouldnt worry about it.
Our C6 scraped and trashed the cheap lip air dam. It was a 3 piece black flex plastic held together with push pins. It was loose at one joint, but never worse in 80K miles. C7 wasn't as bad and with care was wounded but survived 70K miles. The C8 has a much more generous approach angle. It doesn't scrape in our most frequented places at all. It is replaceable if needed. But I can't imagine we ever would. Out of sight out of mind. More things to worry about like a solution to World Peace.

LOL Words of wisdom. I dont have front lift, am lowered on Eibach springs, and a aggressive Paragon/Maxon kit. Rubbing is a fact of life for me. I buy splitters by the twos and just swap out when something cracks. Usually on the drivers side. LOL Factory height and factory spitter and I think you will be fine. With that said, My C7 has a full carbon fiber APR kit that cost me about $10K. I found a company that sold a plate to protect the bottom. Looks like they sell for C8 as well but it isnt cheap. You could buy 5 splitters for that price. Replacing it is a 30 min job. Takes me longer to jack my car up then it does to replace. Chevrolet - Scrape Armor
I chose nothing. The OEM scrapearmor splitter protector is $449 for a base Stingray, plus labor. The OEM splitter can be bought for under $300, and is a simple install with 12 screws. Math.
Your crazy LOL That poverty splitter is less then $100 I thought. Someone will post a part number with facts I could be wrong. Hell everyone is raving about the new 25 splitter, I am sure its the same price. You can get a brand new one painted gloss black that looks 100X better then stock for less then $100. There are so many styles out there. Mine is really aggressive but a subtle "Z51" style is heads and toes better then factory IMO. Shoot if you lived in Norcal I would swap for a case of beer. This item is the 2020-2024 splitter. I keep them as backups in my garage since they go up in price about 20% per year and the ones I have are # 84869770 and have been stored for two years. Also, remember when ordering from an online parts source that you have to figure in shipping. Cultrag shows this item with an MSRP of $238.34 and a discounted price of $165.12 plus shipping of $73.99.

THIS...I have bought this exact splitter twice now...finish is gloss black and surprisingly for the cost, looks great on the car.
Thats a good call out Bob. I damaged the 2 plastic pieces up front that go under the radiators. The pieces were about $180 and shipping was about $90. Funny thing is I needed exhaust manifold gaskets for some new headers I bought and a starter for my Camaro so I ordered all 3 parts together and shipping was the same lol. Those parts houses usually have great deals on oil so if you do your own changes thats a consideration.
I used the C7 method with tall washers. I don’t like the red as much as I thought I would so ordering black now. $20 and works just as well as the $400 solution.

Twin brothers from the same mother…7 Vettes now…I went thru my Carbon Fiber stage but as a daily driver dodged my share of 5 gallon buckets and retreads in the road some I hit. There are tons of economical options for splitters out now that were not in 2008 when I got my first C6. True you get what you pay for but there are many “built well but do not break the bank” options out there that look amazing. When the cameras came out on the C7 that fixed a lot of the guessing involved with “front” parking so I spend a little more for better paint to defend against road sand and bugs.
