Default Questions on C8

Hello all, new member here , i am thinking of purchasing a C8 and was wondering is there any chassis difference as in the looks and dimensions on a 2020 through 2023?
Do all these C8's have that lift ride for driveway and bumps?

Also is there different spoilers on the z51 package, a smaller looking spoiler than the image below?
Does the z51 help with 0-60 and 1/4 mile vs non Z51 package?

Visit the chevy website and build a C8. In the process, you will see the various options and alternatives. Have fun

The lift is an option, and I think not available on the 1LT trim level.

No differences in chassis or suspension year to year, but suspension differences between trim levels (e.g., Z51 Stingray has different suspension calibration than base Stingray).

The rear spoiler on the Z51 changed for 2025 to the version you pictured. There is an option for a small lip spoiler, or you can delete the spoiler (and front lip) completely. The spoiler that was standard on the 2020 to 2024 Z51s is no longer available.

The Z51 is slightly quicker 0-60 than the base Stingray, due primarily to different gearing, and also the summer tires have slightly more traction than the A/S tires on the base model. 0.1 second difference, IIRC. I think it's also slightly quicker in the 1/4, but Chevy's website or Google can confirm that.

Just know this if you buy used make sure the required maintenance per the manual has been performed. It should be on the carfax (DCT filter requirement)

Somewhat involved. Requires the rear fascia to be removed.

Thank you. This car that i want to get came with high wing spoiler and i called Chevrolet dealership and they were not sure which spoiler would fit if i wanted to replace the high wing spoiler.

Was wondering which spoiler would fit on a C8 2022 that came in with z51 - high wing spoiler ? I would like a smaller spoiler that would use the same holes that have been drilled for the high wing and same fit? Would someone know which one would work ?

Not logical.
  • To remove the high wing have to remove the rear bumper.
  • To install the low wing have to remove the rear bumper!
Since I was -planning to add my own Wing, did the research to show the easiest way to remove the rear bumper.

This is a draft Doc pdf that I made. mostly for myself BUT does have a link to Video:
http://netwelding.com/C8_High_Wing.pdf
Many Pics with long captions. Includes GM warning to dealers that any paint peeling when removing the 2 of 4 posts that have adhesive IS DONT COVERED FOR WARRANTEE. It defines what they suggest to avoid.

PS: Both high and low wings have 4 posts and use the same holes in bumper.

You could install the pre-2025 Z51 spoiler with no issues - same mounting holes.

I am pretty sure that all years and all spoiler versions of the Z51 use the same holes to mount the spoiler. So you could order the 2020 - 2024 Z51 rear spoiler, or the optional low spoiler from a GM parts source and replace the higher wing.

One word of caution: The spoiler on the 2020-2024 cars is attached with bolts and with adhesive. There is a factory procedure sent to dealers for removing that spoiler to avoid paint damage. I have no idea if the 2025 wing also uses adhesive, but make sure whoever removes it is familiar with the procedure just in case. (IIRC, it involed applying heat to soften the adhesive, but not too much heat which would also damage the paint.

Here is the spoiler i would like to put on and remove my z51 high wing spoiler. Do we know if this is taped and some sort of adheesive on here or is this mounted through bolts into holes?

If i buy this one, would it cover the holes that are on the high wing spoiler when i take that off?

What is the name on this spoiler so i can order it?
