Newbie
Just signed the purchase contract on C8 Stingray convertible 2LT in Mist Red with Tan interior. I had the chance to spend 20 days in Vegas back in July and after going for a test drive absolutely fell in love with this car in exactly this colour and trim. Couldn't believe my luck when I found one for sale here in Australia with no waiting list. The supply here is severely restricted so prices are sky high. I will take delivery in a few days time and can't wait. Service schedule is completely different in Australia from the US. First service is 12 months or 12,000 klm for a DCT filter and engine oil/filter change. No free service either for the DCT change. Yes we pay through the nose and it keeps the C8 very exclusive and expensive. Not going for a Z06 was a no brainer coz they are up to $150,000 more expensive, no convertible option and my favourite feature, the centre exhausts are missing as they use the same tail pipe layout as the Stingray. I have a question for Aussie owners (rare breed). Where is the best place to buy genuine parts online? Don't trust Ebay oil filters PF64 to be genuine for example. And the oil! it seems we have to use the Mobil1 0w - 40w Supercar designated oil. Sooo expensive. Makes me feel like I am buying a Lambo not a Corvette. Standing on the strip in Vegas a C8 went past every few minutes. Where I am its highly unlikely I will see another one for weeks or months. Exclusivity!! Deserting my V8 Mustang for the Stingray. If it wasn't for Vegas I would not have even known the C8 Stingray existed. Huge thanks to the Vegas dealer who gave me a test drive even though they knew I could not buy one from them. But I did buy one!!!

The service information is in a separate document, here, rather than in the Owners Manual.

And it is different. But with respect to the second filter change, it includes the same ambiguity (contradiction?) that is in the US version, between the table and the footnote.
The table shows the First filter change is 1 year or 12000 km (7456 mi). Second filter change is at year three (2 year interval) or 36000 km (22,369 miles) which is a 24000km (14912 mi) interval. The third filter change is at year 6 or 72000 km (44739 mi) which is a 3 year interval and 36000km (22369.36mi) interval. Then its every three years or every 36000km (22369 mi) thereafter. However, footnote 6 says "6 Replace the transaxle canister filter at 12,000 km and then at every 36,000 km interval thereafter", which to me implies that the second interval would be 36000km(22,369mi) or 3 years, when the table shows the interval being 24000km (14912 mi) or 2 year interval. At least GM is consistent in their inconsistency! There is also a transmission filter life system, and about that it says "If a ‘Replace Transmission Oil Filter Soon’ message is displayed, replace the transaxle canister filter before the indicator reaches 0%. Reset the transmission filter life system in the DIC."
The fluid is is more different. Its every three years or every 36000km (22369mi). That right...its way more frequent than the US schedule. And, it has the fluid life system and says "If a ‘Change Transmission Fluid Soon’ message is displayed, change the transaxle fluid within the next 1,000 km. Reset the transmission fluid life system in the DIC"
I have a question for @JLMFAB . Is the service "pre-paid"? I ask because the maintenance supplement includes service coupons that are yearly or every 12000 km (7456 mi) - which makes it look like the service may be included. The 1 year/12000km coupon includes the DCT filter change. So, if those coupons represent pre-paid service (and I am asking, not saying) then the DCT filter change is included.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I was in Worcester , England recently and I saw a Black C8 prowling the streets. What a sight. I was in England and Germany for a month. Never saw another Corvette.
Enjoy the ride!
