I'm going to spray it in Riptide Blue. Started masking off my engine cover and I'm thinking of removing all the middle tape and using my Cricut machine to make a stencil before spray. Any artistic insight out there?
Most such mods, yours included, look fine and fit personal preferences. However, given my era (when such parts were still metal) and taste (or lack there of) what I've always done with many of my other vehicles I'd do here, a custom aluminum cover from scratch without all the contours and such, then machine vertical grooves on the top surfaces, and polish it all.
I wish they painted the valve covers the same as the color of the car
It's not cheap, but it's certainly possible. I had new valve covers painted Accelerate Yellow with a custom engine cover paint job. I thought the yellow brown contrast would look really good, and it does. I love the valve covers. I'd like to have the engine cover not have the yellow and be all Caffeine brown, except maybe do the Corvette lettering in Accelerate yellow vs the black.

Hey beerman here's what I had done. I did it super early so they didn't have riptide. Though I used a bunch of tension highlights so I wasn't concerned about painted it rapid blue. I had it done by racereadypanels and I was COMPLETELY satisfied with the product and their communications. If nothing else you should go to their site for ideas as they have a TON of pictures showing all colors and painted options.
Use clean geometric shapes, such as triangles, chevrons, or straight lines, to create a modern look. For example, you can create a gradient triangle pattern, going from blue to white, creating a sense of depth.
