I don’t want to beat this to death, but has anyone had BOTH codes P0700 and U1608 show? What was your result? I did have a code come on about 200 miles ago but it self cleared after the car sat for a few hours.
BeerMan1378, the code is stored. Have you connected a scanner to the OBD2 port?
Please list your car: Year, miles, if you have had DCT filter changed, DCT filter change,..

Yea I put my scanner on and got those 2 codes. It cleared by itself after sitting a few hours. The CEL came on 1k miles. It’s a 2024 coupe 2LT
Boy it sucks. What to do? Hopefully it is a one time glitch, piece of debris got stuck somewhere. ...
If it had more miles on the odometer, I would recommend changing the DCT filter but that wouldn't help in your case.
You have MacMulkin and Paul Masse dealerships with good tech's in the area, if you need them.
Only suggestions I have:
* drive smoothly until engine and transmission warm up. It's frigging cold in Massachusetts now.
* don't use Track-Mode till spring time( uses more aggressive shifting )
I had P0700 show up after a session on the track. Car never acted different. I cleared the code at the track and it hasn't shown up again. I suspect it was a communication glitch between control modules. I'm personally not worried about it. If it shows up again and is persistent I'll take it to the dealer to document and correct if necessary.

MacMulkin is where I bought. Great experience. I’m hoping it was just a glitch myself. Funny how we never really take in all the good things about the car, but whenever there is a negative it sticks like glue. This week it looks like it’s going to be freezing. Hate this weather!
The combination of OBD codes P0700 and U1608 could indicate issues with the transmission control module (TCM) and the communication network. P0700 is a generic code for transmission issues, while U1608 refers to a communication error between the TCM and other modules. Since the code cleared itself, it could be a temporary glitch, but it’s recommended to check the TCM wiring, connectors, and software for any potential faults. If the codes return, further diagnostic steps will be needed. I want to share my experience from when I was a student struggling to write an academic dissertation. P0700 is the code sent to turn on the check engine light.
correct… This is really a non-code in that it signifies nothing other than something in the system told the ECM to turn on the check engine light. So it occurs on every fault code situation eruption…
Never had an issue with my 21, but for grins a couple of weeks ago I hooked up my scanner and was amazed at all of the codes set. I think that there is so much electronics stuff going on that it takes a lot to actually illuminate an issue on the car's screen. I cleared them, but it doesn't really bother me.
