2025 C8 of the Year Finalist - Modified
Default c8 order through Macmulkin experience

Question for those that have ordered in the last few months, what was the ordering process like and how long did each part take from the time you contacted them? I would just like to know approximately the steps and time.
I have started the process on ordering a C8 Sebring Stingray, Coupe, 2LT, Standard wheels, GT2 Natural Napa perforated, Engine light, Performance exhaust, R8C. I will add silver strips and 2025 z51 wing myself.
12/2/24 Send deposit: check in the mail.
12/3/24 Contact: with all requested information sent.
12/6/24 Deposit list: #115
12/18/24 Event Code 1100,1101, Final order confirmation. (corvette plant is shutting down for three weeks in December) allocations will be pushed to January.)
1/9/25 Checked with Macmulkin, Order should go through and will let me know if GM accepts within a few days.
1/10/25 Event Code 2000 Order accepted by chevrolet, Email from MacMulkin Final confirmation.
1/15/25 Event Code 3000 order accepted by production, Thanks to Rod for the information from NCM.
1/22/25 Event Code still at 3000, with MM you can check yourself on their site with order #.
1/28/25 Event Code still at 3000.
2/5/25 Event Code still at 3000.
2/6/25 Event Code at 3300 order scheduled for production.
2/6/25 NCM e-mailed today. Car projected to be completed on 2/24/25. Typically, delivery date is two weeks. I am taking NCM delivery to avoid picking up at Macmulkin this time of year plus I am 65 miles away from BG NCM.
2/14/25 NCM e-mailed today. production has been delayed by one week. complete date is now 3/3/25. Typically, delivery date is two weeks.
2/18/25 Macmulkin Even Code 3400 was issued on 2/12/25, But I think that is older information then what NCM gave me above.
3/4/25 checked Macmulkin Event code still 3400
3/5/25 Contacted Shane at NCM to check on my car. He responded within 2 minutes was built in the afternoon on 3/4. NCM delivery should be on 3/18.
3/6/25 NCM contacted me today and let me know my C8 has made it to NCM, trying to get my delivery date moved from the 18th to 12th.
3/7/25 NCM worked with me to move the delivery date to the 12th.
ordered 12/2/24 and will get the car 3/12/25, December had 3-week shutdown and there was a week shutdown in February.
The people at NCM have been super, the three I have contacted would reply very quicky and also Macmulkin sales techs would always answer my questions and very helpful.

Thanks, as this will help other to understand and know what to expect.
Macmulkin updates the order tracking on their site only for customer that ordered through them every Tuesday/Wednesday and you can enter your order number to check status.
I will update step as they happen so that others know the process
Note: dealer can check update event code for you, or you can contact (GM) corvette concierge 866-424-3892

I've ordered two C8 Corvettes from them but not in the last few months. If you're #115 on the Stingray list, I'd think you'd be able to see your order on the tracking page soon, but they should be sending you an email with all that info.

Here's the page I'm talking about. You just need an order number to plug in: https://www.macmulkincorvette.com/co...tracking-2023/

Being wintertime, many on waiting lists are now deferring their opportunity to order. So you may not have to wait long before your turn comes up. Once MM asks you for your build options, that will mean they have an available allocation to assign to your order once they ask you for those build options. With that build order submitted to GM with an dealer allocation assigned, GM will likely accept it right away. After that, you are looking at 6 to 8 weeks for the car to be built. Congratulations as you will be very happy ordering from the #1 corvette dealer in the world, MacMulkin.

I placed my deposit 22 November and was 119 on the waiting list for a base C8 and presently I am 101. My understanding is that Macmulkin will only get one allocation drop in both December and January so hopefully we will get our allocations sooner rather than later.........12 December, tomorrow, is the allocation drop date.
Another wrinkle is that the Bowling Green factory will be closed an extra week for the winter closure, and that closure will start on the 13th of December and reopen Monday 6 January.

This confirms that demand is dropping. Nice vacation for the BG workers.

Yes, the two reasons cited in one article I read was "swelling" C8 inventory, and decreased demand..........As late as November Macmulkin was offering 10% off new base C8 orders, and Les Stanford Chevrolet is currently offering 15% off some of their C8 inventory.

Wait, so youre saying they're giving 10% off new 25 stingray orders and not left over 24s on the lot?

Correct. I made my deal in November but I bet it is extended into December. Call Macmulkin and they can give you the latest information.

yes they still have the 10% off for December.
D0lphan72 wow that's a long time. Is it NCM that is the holdup? Is anyone telling you anything? I am doing the NCM delivery also just to prevent going to NH to pick it up during the winter plus, I am 60 miles from NCM.

OP, Macmulkin just reached out to me regarding my C8 spec so, it sounds like an allocation may be imminent. Apparently I cannot spec the tan interior with a Blue seat belt???? So I went with Black........

Addendum: The allocation will not happen this month "maybe next month". I will keep checking out dealers for better offers.

No not at all. I originally had a pickup date of January 13 in mine when I placed the order & expected the car to be built from now - end of year roughly but it obviously was produced much faster than expected, have to stick with that date because my moron friends who are joining us decided to book their flights & hotels without me telling them to so we're sticking with the originally planned date lol.
I could have picked up last week if I wanted to

If you do NCM delivery, NCM generally requires a two week minimum delay for your NCM delivery date after the car is built. That allows time for Jack Cooper Transport to get your car to NCM after any GM QC holds and time for NCM to do the PDI.

I'll only charge $500 to clap when you drive your new C8 off the dealer lot. 😀

I recently bought from MacMulkin, but the car was on the lot, so I didn't order it. I worked with Adam Morin who was great and did everything he could to make the process run smoothy. Had it shipped to my house in PA. Having said that, I believe it still a lot easier of a process if you can do a deal locally, either ordered or on the lot. To me it's so much easier to sit in front of someone and pass paper back and forth and drive away with the car. I got the car I wanted and have no regrets working with them.

My order was submitted on the 12th of December but not accepted by GM. My understanding is that MacMulkin did not receive any allocations on the 12th of December. I am curious why my order would be submitted when not paired to an allocation, any thoughts?
