Three weeks ago had an ABS failure with car in limp mode- Has been at dealer who had to have GM come in and diagnose a faulty wheel speed sensor- Backordered-part Thats just gonna delay my turning the car in to Porsche and I have an order in their system.
Engine replaced 13k miles 8 week out of service
convertible top fail 3 weeks out of service
now this
My problem isn't just the mechanical issues its the frustration of service delays and zero feed back - i literally need to beg to get a call back - The engine arrived at the dealer but wasnt installed for 6 weeks??? Now the back ordered part hasn't been followed up on for availability in 10 days. Forget about talking to an SA its voice mail and no call back 2- 3 days in a row
In my state if you qualified for the lemon law (30 days out of service is one of them) within the lemon law time period you can file a claim even if you are now beyond the qualification period.

I was and placed a deposit for an Allocation for carrera s production kept being put off and anticipated order jan 2025 was waiting for that- looks like like the S will now be a 2026 build so Ive allocated and ordered a 2025 conventional 911 ice gray coupe- will be here in 3 months but theyll get the trade early- and i get the tax advantage and todays offer of 56k
it would have been nice if the vette worked while i was waiting- Someone will get a car with 4 tires with less that 2k miles and full transmission svc. - probably unneeded when on flatbed. Perhaps that should have an option code
I had investigated lemon law claim originally and it was outside the window. A little nebulous as I purchased at Kerbeck (tells you how old it is) in NJ and NY owned car-
Funny Ciocca called the other day and service had received a ON Star notice and they wanted to know if I could bring it in. I told them it was in -but at a different dealer- I told them feel free though to press the red button on ONstar that will self destruct the car-

NY is where I just did my buyback through and they have an amazing program, full purchase price back if out of service for same problem for more than 30 days within 2 years. You have 4 years in NY to submit a claim. No usage deduction if under 12k miles.
Wow that sucks. 3 years and all the issue. Hopefully you have a great experience in your new Porsche. If you are going to spend the money I would get exactly what you want instead of settling. Will make the purchase that much better especially since you have been through a bunch on the current car. Shop around and see if you can find an allocation for what you want.

OP - can’t say I blame you for being totally frustrated and saying enough is enough. It is unfortunate that you have a car that is giving nothing but problems. Best of luck with your new Porsche - hope it provides you with a much better ownership experience than your C8.
