Happy Holidays! I have been pricing out for PPF for the front end and ceramic coating. Every shop is pushing the "Track Package" - Full Bumper, Full Fenders, Full Hood, Mirrors, Headlights/Foglights, Rockers, A-Pillars, Edge Of Roof, as opposed to the full front - Full Bumper, Full Fenders, Full Hood, Mirrors, Headlights/Foglights.
I get it—rocks and debris can hit anywhere—but it seems like the additional areas covered under the "Track Package" are at a much lower risk of damage from debris, and an additional $700-$1,000 more seems like a lot.
Thoughts: what did you get are you happy with it, have you found areas on the C8 that are more susceptible to debris damage, I know on my 2011 Camaro, the "gills" behind the doors seemed to get a lot of damage.
I ended up doing the track package which covered the windshield pillars, mirrors, hood, and a strip above the windshield. My original plan was just the front end (including the lights) and rockers, but I have had a couple rocks bounce up onto the hood, so I am glad I did the entire package.

The tires on Corvettes tend to pick up very small pebbles and throw them tangentially up from where the tire is lifting off the road as it rotates. The pebbles tend to sandblast the sides of the car, including the rockers, doors, and rear quarters in front of the wheels.
The erosion isn't noticeable at first but over time the owner may start to see a fogging of the paint in those areas. These areas need to be protected whether or not you are driving on track. If tracking the car then add protection for the front fascia, headlights, fenders and windshield. If driving on the street maybe protect the front fascia. I have been driving for over 60 years and haven't seen much damage to the front of my cars when driving on the street. You don't get the violent collisions with debris thrown from other cars as you see on a track where the first car throws up a track turd consisting of rubber and sand pebbles from the asphalt and then you hit it at 150 mph.

What were you / are you getting quoted for each package? Like to compare against what have been quoted too. Considering that versus just ceramic.
I also got the track package and just the other day I took a hit on the strip above the windshield. I was thankful that it missed the windshield and that I had PPF there, which healed nicely.
I did the track pack and added the full door in case of a door ding. I have the zo6 rockers and looking back i might have went with the 1m rocker. lots of impacts in the back part of the car
I went with just bumper, fender , side rockers. Within a week of the install my hood got a TINY mark so I wish I had done the hood. The thing I wish I had the most is the new film that goes on the windshield. I’m at 25,000 miles and the windshield is showing some pitts.
I’ve got front, headlights, a-pillars, side view mirrors and the sides above the rocker panels.
I’d do it again except for the sides above the rocker panels. I heard the horror stories about rocks and debris getting kicked up and hitting sides of doors.
However, the optional rocker panels seem to do a great job so that part of the PPF was a waste for me and leaves just a slight visual line since there’s nowhere to tuck the section,
I had all painted areas on the front of the car covered including the headlights, the mirrors and the rocker panels. I wish I would’ve had the roof done. The rear of the car might be a good area to do especially if you’ll be tracking it, as it just helps protect the finish from all the rubber that gets kicked up.
Also, probably a good idea to look into the Exo-shield as it is my understanding that this prevents cracks to the windshield and doesn’t restrict the view. That and the windshield’s were on back order but not sure if that’s still the case.
One final thing, ask them if they can give you a price break if you pay cash. Some shops will be willing to do so. It saved me about $500.

See ... that is what got me at thinking "whole car" ... inevitably it will be the one spot you don't cover that takes a hit!
Windshield - no way - I don;t care how great they say it is - running wipers over something NOT pure glass eventually will distort the view and cause issues especially for night driving and then you are replacing that film over and over - be cheaper long run to replace the windshield once at some point.
