I'm an old member with a new 23 C8 that I bought from CarMax last week. I'd like to know where I can register with GM so that I will be sent any information pertaining to the car.
Secondly, I am the second owner with only 1700 miles on the car. Can I assume that the original warranty's would still apply to me.
"To register for GM ownership on a pre-owned vehicle, you can access your GM account online through the "My GM" portal, where you can add your vehicle using its VIN number; most GM warranties, including those on certified pre-owned vehicles, automatically transfer to the second owner when you sell the car, meaning the remaining warranty period applies to the new owner as well.
Key points about registering GM ownership on a pre-owned vehicle:
Access My GM account: Log in to your GM account on the website or through the MyGM app.
Add vehicle details: Provide the vehicle's VIN number to register your pre-owned vehicle on your account.
Warranty transfer: For most GM certified pre-owned vehicles, the remaining factory warranty automatically transfers to the new owner when you sell the car. "

To me, the 2023 model is the sweet spot--it's a 70th anniversary year with inscriptions scattered throughout, doesn't have the Google infotainment, and lacks the nannies that were added to the 2024+ models. If you got a late model 2023, you also have the improved DCT magnesium pan, IIRC (my 2023 doesn't, unfortunately, but I've not had any DCT issues in 12,000 miles so far).
You might consider joining a local corvette club. There’s many in Florida. Good source of local information, best dealers etc and you will find like minded folks who may become new friends. Great way to expand enjoying the hobby. Just go to a car show and ask around.

Congrats, you're going to love it! One thing to be aware of, GM gives a free service within the first 2 years for oil change & DCT filter change. If the original owner had not used it yet (it'll show up on the Chevy/GM owners site once you register and tie the car to your profile), go ahead and take advantage of it if it hasn't expired. You also must change the DCT filter again at 7,000 miles (+/- 500 miles) no matter what the mileage. GM is adamant about this to maintain warranty coverage. You also have to change the DCT fluid at 3 years regardless of mileage, so if you can put some miles on it, maybe you can coincide the filter change and fluid change.
