Default CEL list of codes thread

Can we get a list together of CEL codes everybody has experienced? This may help guide current/future owners as to what they may be facing. The simpler/more concise explanation the better IMO. Possibly make this a sticky post??

2024 2LT Z51 1,100 miles

- P0700 (code cleared itself) No drivability issues
- U1608 (code cleared itself) No drivability issues

Threw both codes at the same time

From a drivability diagnostics standpoint I'm not sure this would really help all that much. My P0300 code may be a completely different issue than yours. These codes are supposed to be a starting point for diagnostics by a technician. It's easy to get shoehorned down in the "what does this code mean" rabbit hole when in reality it should just be a starting point for your diagnostics. As a good tech friend of mine says "OBD2 codes dont equal part numbers". Just my two cents, may still be helpful to some.

Totally understandable as to some going down that rabbit hole. Just some starting points for those who may be experiencing beginning stages of possible issues.

If you have a code, google is the first place to go.

There is a list of codes in the Service Manual. The codes typically do not indicate the actual repair needed, but rather indicate that some sensor is out of range, or somewhere in a wiring harness, there is an open circuit, short to voltage, or short to ground. The codes will indicate a specific diagnostic procedure that is followed to determine the actual repair needed - and there are usually multiple outcomes. The point is, the codes and other's experience with what happened as a result will only provide partial information - your experience may vary. Could be as simple as a hydraulic system flush, or it could be fluid level, fluid change, filter change, valve body replacement, or transmission replacement, and more recently there have been some replacements of clutch components reported on the forum.
