Latest rumor is that the '26 Dash is likely a 3 panel screen, connected to give the "illusion of one continuous screen", similar to this Cadillac screen shown here? No mention of what may or may not happen to the wall. ... Who knows at this point!
I know I'm old, but IMO the screens are a larger driver distraction and danger than having buttons. The buttons stay visible all the time and don't move. With all the concern about cell phones distracting drivers, this just seems wrong to me. I know the 25 Escalades are like this with the huge screen all the way across, is it this really needed? My 2024 has enough screen stuff but thankfully still has buttons!
Love the wall! I’m just over these big screens. They were cool when they first came out but I prefer buttons, *****, dials, switches, etc over screens. I don’t mind what we have now but don’t want bigger or more screens.

lol, I love the big screens. The bigger the better. Guess that's why the make Chocolate and Vanilla
I'm fine with a big screen, as long as there are tactile mechanical switches, too. I've yet to see a screen based interface that isn't harder to use and requires you to take your eyes off the road for longer periods of time. If the revised interface is all screen, I'll definitely be keeping my 2021.

The Cadillac version retains many of the common controls as buttons. I have a Lyriq and it is a good combination of physical buttons the the touch screen. I'd hate the Tesla approach where everything has to be done on the scrnne.
…I personally think removing the wall is a bad idea…I think they’ll do it, but I prefer the more driver centered cockpit the way it is now. Chevrolet did something similar back during the 4th Gen of the Camaro. I had a ‘96 Camaro and the radio and AC controls were angled toward the driver and it made it more cockpit like. I then bought a ‘98 (the call of the LS1 was deafening!), but they shifted radio and AC controls to be more in the center and accessible to the passenger and it just completely lost the feel of a cockpit.
…I think if GM loses the wall, it may make passengers that regularly ride in the C8 happier, but I think it’ll take away from the driver centered cockpit feel…

I don't think the wall is too bad. I think I do wish the seating position would go a little lower to give me more of a sporty low to the ground driving position if possible.
I asked a GM engineering friend point blank and he assured me no plans in place to change the dash layout. A reoccurring rumor.
Except that Harlan Charles confirmed a new interior is coming during the Bash last April. I guess your GM friend isn't part of the Corvette design team. And that he takes the NDA he signed when he went to work for GM seriously. No one's going to risk their job for a "friend."
