Default Engine lighting idea Q

Has anybody tried using these or something similar for their engine bay lighting? I’m not a fan of the LED strips because you can see the individual diodes reflecting. I saw a post somewhere online with someone using these but I can’t find it. Amazon LED Lights

If you want truly uniform lighting, take a look at Electroluminescence. Here's a site to get you started: https://ellumiglow.com/collections/electroluminescence

I have a similar version of these but mine are battery operated. AA Battey powered "under cabinet lights". The housing comes white like the ones in your pic, so I taped up the color bar and painted the rest of the housing satin black. I used double sided tape on the battery cover/panel and taped the plate onto the hatch. That way you can slide the light bar on and off to replace the batteries. The heat from the engine hasn't bothered the double sided tape, the light bar or the batteries. I've had the setup for a few years without any issues. They're $18.99 each on Amazon. You can turn them on/off by pushing the black button on the light bar or with the remote. Here's a few pics...

Could you share a link? Also, how long have you found the batteries to last?

I am taking a stab at the rechargable ones. I think they were only like 30 bucks for 3 of them. Who knows if they will hold up to the heat, but I figured what the hell.

These LED strips are available in auto parts stores and online everywhere, it sure does look like an easy modification.
Myself, I'd like a very solid attachment and not battery power but a remote sure would be fun to play with and change colors etc.
