Go to a dealership with a tape measure. On a sunny day, run the tape under the car and measure the shadows of the mirror housings. With the sun overhead, you should get a "close enough" reading.

I'd rather hear from a real owner rather than being badgered by a salesperson...
The C8 has a big butt, I would make sure I measured it after I measured the mirrors in the folded position. You might also want to consider how far you have to open the door to exit the vehicle. I had to install a door protector on the wall of my garage for the door to hit when getting out of the car. Good luck, hope your car fits inside your garage.
I use my forward camera and with folded mirrors I use the guidance lines on the screen to guide myself in. I have a brick on the driveway that if I center with the line I know that I'll have clearance. You can even see where the tire treads and the front of the car will end up. My biggest problem is that if my wife's car is in the garage next to mine I am unable to open the door and get out very easily. I've put a swatch of carpeting hanging between the two cars so that I can open the door without damaging her car.
I have painted guidelines on the floor of my garage dating back to my C5 that I can still use to center the car when entering my garage. The front camera is very useful. As mentioned you might have to put something on the wall to protect the door when you open it.
Standard 8ft garage here. I usually fold mine in when pulling in and turn on the front camera to line up perfectly. However I leave them out while backing out and there are a couple inches on each side. Its not bad once you get used to it. I’ve never come close to hitting the frame. My C7 Z fit no problem as well.
Here is the closest I get measuring the car on my lift. Overall width 79 1/2 inches . Driver side mirror folded was 1 3/4 inches and pass side mirror was 2 3/4 inches . So width of car is 75 inches. Thats the best I could do. Maybe +/- 1 inch.
