I see tow hooks advertised on eBay for about $25. Two questions. Do they screw directly into threads that are already present in the cars frame. And are the small removable panels in the bumper easily removed and then again replaced after the tow without any damage.
Rear and front have a threaded attachment area. Panels come off rather easy, just be careful not to break or lose. I got the black GM tow hook. Used my points to grab one from my local dealer. I keep it in the frunk with a panel removal tool just in case I need a tow.
Amazon. Just search for car panel tools. Come in kits of all different amount of pieces. The one you’ll use looks like a long plastic shim, comes down to a thin narrow edge.

Look, if you're buying a cheap Chinese tow hook for looks, got for it, but don't fool yourself into thinking it's safe to pull the car up on a flatbed. I responded to a flat bed operator outside of Camp Pendleton who lost his life pulling a car up onto his truck when the tow hook broke under load and the cable flew back and hit him in the head, taking a large part of his skull with it. Enjoy the look of it, don't let someone try to pull it up a flatbed.

Was fixin' to challenge those who deemed it acceptable/ preferred to spend over a $100 on a simple hook to tow ones car. Then I see this post and am somehow now not of the mind to make my post.
I have 2, this one is super nice! The other, with the hinge on the end is crap, cheap crap! Very happy with this one, looks like it should cost much more. Very happy with it.
Don't waste your $ on a tow hook unless you are trying to make folks think you are a "racer" or just love the look. They don't pull from the center and won't come up a flat bed straight.
They are made to pull a car a short distance to get it off the track. They tend to bent or snap off in which case you better hope you body is not near the cable.
Instead buy a V-Bridle strap which is what professionals in the towing business would use on a corvette or car with limited ground clearance. It pulls down low from the frame, pulls straight, won't damage any part of the vehicle and won't break ( T- MINI FRAME HOOKS GRADE 70 WHICH HAS A WORKING LOAD LIMIT OF 5,400 LBS EACH. THE LEGS ARE 80". THE D-RING IS 10,000 LBS. THE WEBBING IS 20,000 LB. SINGLE PLY WITH EDGE GUARD FOR EXTRA DURABILITY, USA MADE.) Attaches to holes in the frame behind the front wheels.
Doesn't take up much more space than a tow hook in your frunk and is made for the job. Fits all C5 thru C8. $49.50 on Ebay
Why buy one when the tow truck will have it? Notice I said "professional", not the jack leg redneck outfit you are likely to get when stranded late some night near a small town.
