Default Noise insulation

Has anybody noise insulated their C8? I insulated my 2015 coupe and changed to non run flat tires. Noticed a little less noise.

Regards,
DMK

No. If I wanted luxury sound insulation I wouldn't have bought a Vette.

in fairness I had it done by “Cowboy” on my 2019 it was incredible for knocking down the heat radiating from engine in the footwell and tarmac

There has been much discussion here about this problem. Some, including me, have had a little success by beefing up the gaskets around the doors.

An "Advanced search" would likely generate more discussion, if not here in the C8 Forums, certainly it would in the C7, where it has been discussed extensively for years. Much of the info would be applicable to about any vehicle.

"A little Less"??? Doesn't sound promising - no pun intended.

yup, did it on my C6Z. Made a large difference in heat transfer. Also wrapped the exhaust....

I'm sure there are vendors that sell a complete insulation kit for the car. With past generation Vettes, installing an insulation package did eliminate some road noise as well as keep some heat out of the cabin.

TKOPerformance sells a kit for insulting the trunk to reduce the temp. I dropped 40 degrees

u might be able to go to Lowe’s and buy the insulation and cut it yourself

The OP is not asking about lowering temps in his trunk. He wants it quieter in the cabin.

just can’t take it for what it is a comment I usually don’t do a response on something like this as I consider a response as poor as your comment

I insulated my C-6 with Dynamat Extreme and noticed a remarkable difference even with run-flats. Everything I could access was insulated including hatch area, doors, rear quarter panels and firewall. Personally, I believe it would be a much bigger job than the C-6 but doable given enough time and fortitude. The cost on the C-6 was about $600 if I remember right.
