My splitter history with my 2020 C8 may be of interest. I bought a copy of the GM 5VM that included a Carbon Flash painted splitter (the GM was constrained when I got my car.) I had a Lift as had scraped the spitter I had on my 2017 Grand Sport with Stage 2 Aero and the aftermarket one C7 Carbon I added to my 2014 C7. Without a Lift would have scraped going into (and out of) many driveways in town at restaurants, FedEx etc etc. Had ~40 places memorized.
BUT that did stop scraping the integral Winglet when parked next to a curb at an Island in a parking lot and turning a bit too soon as I backed out! Bought another (see the current price is $699.)
Just before I sold it had another bad scrape on the side winglet! Removed and installed my original 3 piece flexible composite splitter that came with my Z51!
BTW it is very large and needs excellent packaging. Having bought other parts from C7 Caron, similar size as the C8 Splitter it was packaged very well It was wrapped in protective foam cover and a large box.
So for my E-Ray my plan was to get a Less expensive ABS splitter painted carbon Flash. ABS is very rugged, many car and even airplane parts are made from ABS. It takes paint well. I also have a Lift on my E-Ray. Thought IF I damage hitting a curb, or an 18 wheeler Tire Tread on an Interstate can repair a scratch and spray paint carbon flash or just replace it. There are a number of ABS available, the one below I just found on the Net for $199 from Extreme Online Store (EOS.)

ACS or C7 Carbon are popular sources for replacement parts, although more expensive than some of the other vendors. Extreme Online Store seems to be kind of hit and miss on the quality, but I will say I recently purchased a C7 Z06/GS grille for my 2014 (just wanted the updated look) and it was well packaged and fit perfectly plus the cost was very reasonable.
I also have the ACS 5VM splitter in Carbon Flash (as well as some other ACS parts). IMO, the quality, fit, and finish of ACS parts make them well worth the price. Also, take a look at their splitter undertray.
Yep, ABS comes in Glossy Black out of the Mold. Painted Carbon Flash adds cost. (Or you can sand lightly and spray Paint Carbon Flash with a rattle can.) Just found this on eBay (top Pic.) BTW, nothing wrong with 3 PC as that is what the OEM composite is and looks fine. Big cost advantage in molds, injection machines that can fit them versus a one piece AND shipping.
CARBON FLASH For 2020-2023 2024 Corvette C8 5VM Style Front Splitter Bumper Lip: $149, 3 Piece Painted Carbon Flash
IF I didn't have a lift no question the smart buy is less expensive ABS because you will scrape. Might buy two and have one ready! Below are PICS from my E-Ray with a mild scrape of and undertray bolt head WITH MY LIFT!
Depends where you live, but in this case in a driveway in town where with my 2020 C8 with LIFT it looked like it would be no problem with my LIFT. Minor Scrape. Had to use the same driveway with my E-Ray and USED MY LIFT but went out fast as traffic was coming. Heard minor sound. When I got home took a Pic, as noted a bolt head on the Mini Splitter and slight scape (white scratch) on the undertray. Note: all E-Rays (and I believe Z06) come standard with what I call a Mini Splitter. It's installed at PDI.
My 2017 Grand Sport Stage 2 Aero Option came with Carbon Fiber Splitter. I added this ~$500 Scrape Armor Splitter Protection. It did it's job. Reason I paid for the lift on my 2020 C8 and E-Ray!
Reason I added the Scrape Armor Protector to my Grand Sport is I scraped the C7 Carbon aftermarket spitter I added to my 2014 C7 Z51. As they supply now an option to painted carbon flash is "real" carbon fiber cloth on the finish. Scraped the underside in a number of driveways in town. This is a Pic at my driveway, which was not a problem as could always go out slowly. Not always possible in town when exiting a driveway. Some have significant dips for rain drainage. Some only think of their driveway/road exit BUT was not my issue it was a number of places in town.
There are 2 main material choices - polycarbonate (PC) and ABS. The former is superior. ACS (maybe others?) uses PC with a perfect Carbon Flash finish.
I've gone through a few of these, cones are my enemy both in AutoX and somehow I've also taken out an apex cone in an HPDE. I started out with an expensive one from American Hydrocarbon but after I broke that, I just go with EOS now which offers a carbon flash painted 5VM style front splitter for $380. They also offer a gloss black 5 piece for even less. https://extremeonlinestore.com/colle...37714595807402
I just bought one about a month ago for $169. I thought is was ACS but not sure.
Painted in carbon flash? There are cheaper ones out there than the one I suggested, but I've haven't seen anything cheaper in carbon flash, just unpainted or gloss black.
