I have an iPhone 16 Pro (not the Pro Max) with one of the silicon Apple cases, and it fits just fine.
I'm very much fond of how tightly it's held in place for when I'm in the mood to drive with zest.
In the past, I have seen a lot of cars where the phone is just laying on the wireless charger, and I was worried that if that feature became available in the Corvette, that it would be useless because the phone could be flung about if the car was driven enthusiastically. Such is not the case, and the phone is held quite securely. I would say that it was designed by someone who both had a phone and who liked to drive aggressively.

When seated, right hand needs to work backwards to reach the spot, or left hand has to do more than fully cross body. I imagine someone thin would not mind. It's also out of sight/out of mind when exiting.
The charger should be in place of the central storage cubby, and the waterfall should be a storage cubby.
But my neighbor's uncle's classmate says the interior is being redesigned in '23'24'25'26 '27 so maybe it will change!

After you put it in that nice location, no need to even reach for it, just use your screen and voice to control everything! . Also, I love it as it hides the phone so when I leave car (in case I forget it) it's tucked away. I like the location!.
I agree that the location of the charger is in a very awkward place. Possibly this will be addressed in the c9 with the removal of the buttons on the center console. Even with this short coming the C8 is an awesome vehicle. I moved from a Shelby GT 350 to the c8 and love both vehicles.
You can tell which guys look at their phones when they are driving, judging by the comments here. Its back there to not be distracted. It should integrate with carplay/android auto so you arent handling your phone.
How do I get my pro max to charge in this cradle? Do you have to turn the feature on

I agree, the phone is out of the way and becomes part of the cars onboard computers. I think they've taken a step back on the new interior with the charger up front with the cheesy retention area
Assuming you referring to the 2020-2025 model years...It's less aggravation to just use a cord and plug it in the center console than it is to wedge it in the wireless charger on the waterfall.
The 2026 model takes care of that issue.
