Yes, my original filter was on so tight that the endcap wrench stripped, and I had to use a large set of pliers for the 1st filter change. but it does fit without issues.
I posted a thread in here less than a week ago about removing the oil filter with a filter socket and the socket was slipping. I had to go find another tool to remove it (3 prong thingy that tightens as you turn the socket wrench).
I tried all kinds. Finally used the kind with claw grips. Ruined the old filter but i finnaly got it off.

I've come close to getting stuck, but a basic strap wrench has never failed me:

LOOSEN filter first then drain & continue. I found putting a neoprene glove inside filter removal end cap keeps it from slipping.👍

Some people have had problems getting the filter off using a wrench. Even with the best socket type wrench the problem isn't slipping. If the filter is tight enough the corners of the wrenching pattern on the filter will collapse is the filter is tight enough.
First basic tip is to insure you turning the filter to the left. Yes, we've had a post here where the poster seeking advice was actually tightening the filter as opposed to loosening it.
