I knew they were airbags. I prefer not messing up a car that went through thousands of hours of engineering and testing.
I have seen so many different "Mods" over my lifetime that nothing surprises me or upsets me. If you own it, you can do whatever you want to your property.
I had an acquaintance who is on the spectrum. He purchased one of the modern two-seater Thunderbirds and proceeded to place chrome plastic two inch wide rub strips along all the cut lines. He was very proud of his "Mods".
They look great for the car show and I like to look at them. I also appreciate the effort it takes to these types of mods but they are not for me. I love my car for the handling it delivers out of the box and the extreme lowering with airbags ruins the handling and the highly engineered factory suspension. Love them but not my cup of red bull.
