My carbon flash metallic HTC still looks new after 13 months of daily driving. I probably have washed it 40 times.
If you use the right equipment to wash & dry the car, it won't show micro-scratches. If you lube the top of the rear window/rubber it slides into with dielectric grease it won't make noise. That's assuming it really is the rear window that you are hearing.
No scratches on my 3 year old 22. I use micro fiber towels to wash and dry. You can buy them fairly reasonable at Costco. I hand wash them with dawn and dry them. Throw the ones away when they don’t come clean like the ones that get brake dust on them from cleaning the wheels. Sam
