Picked up a rock to my windshield. Called Safelite and three days later they came to replace it. They noted the replacement was not factory and said they would order a stock windshield for LT 2 C-8. A week later they came with a OEM windshield and installed it. The installer said he would have to drive it to calibrate the camera. I had already checked and re-calibration was not needed. I guess he would like to drive it but sorry Jack, it ain't happening. Everything is good and I am looking through a clean factory-type windshield.
My 2023 Z51 has a broken windshield thanks to a stone thrown up by a truck on the 60 freeway here in Mesa, AZ.
Now I’m waiting for a Chevrolet OEM windshield (heads up display).
Any insight into how long I’ll have to wait?
I would say they should have it overnight. BTW, I don't work in the industry but that has been my experience in the past. Maybe get an ETA from your dealer?

Its a windshield, if an OEM one has a lead time you cannot live with, then get factory -type, who cares, its a windshield! My guess is you may have multiple over the life of the car.
I got a "factory-type"...Wasn't going to look through a rock chip for 8 months...It's missing the little Corvette logo in the corner, otherwise, it is unblemished and works perfect along with the HUD
Got a broken windshield. Called Safelite. They came to my house the next day and put a new one in. My HUD works fine. Easy peasy, no drama. If I am missing some logo in the corner I don't care.
I just had a protective film put on my car, similar to ppf but specific to a windshield. I had exoshield on my 20 a few years back but now there are more suppliers.
Also as a cheaper solution there are a number of liquid helper protectors. I’ve used them on the track and thought they helped.
Obviously there is no totally safe solution but like everything in life there are options to make life easier.
