Default Frunk Clips Needed

Has any one found a clip to replace the little clips on the plastic frunk surround. I know they come with the surround, but I replaced mine with CF. Once you take them off the tabs the fingers that keep them attached to the plastic do not hold, and allow them to pull off the tab.

Is it any of these? You didn't include a picture. It's probably any number of generic plastic clips.

I have checked with NAPA and they do not have them. It appears that GM is the only place they are available, and very expensive. Maybe someone else has a vendor.

Assuming this part # is correct? This eBay listing is $10 for a pack of 10. Even if it isn't, they look like a generic clip that can be found from many sources. i.e. amazon, GM parts houses, Fastenal, et al. I wouldn't worry about compromising my Bloomington Gold eligibility with them. Which is itself compromised since it is in St Louis MO now.

Edit: Why don't folks google first ask later?

I ordered the Amazon clips. Maybe they can be modified. The GM clips seem to only be available mounted on the replacement pieces which are under warranty. This clip it is 5/16" wide and 1/2" tall. However taking them off the CF and putting them back on the plastic for warranty would not be my first choice if I have any other option.

Funny, I could care less about keeping my car authentic. Did you see the picture. I have googled my butt off but cannot find the correct clip. This is how you get to the battery, so these need to come on and off without damage. If you put one with to much tension in it could rip the mounting point out of the car. Now that I care about. These are very small and I have not seen anything close.

Unfortunately these are not the correct #. These are the size that might fit the mud flaps. Larger and thicker with quite a bit of tension.

Did you ever find the correct replacement part number? Or a clip that will work with the CF pieces? Thanks.

Yes I did. I found some that work. I will post the part# when I can get out to the shop and find the package.

Both of these work. The only difference is tension. I prefer less. I always felt I had to pull pretty hard to get the factory one off. These are physically bigger but do the same job. All are on Amazon cheap!.

I ordered the GoaMotors 30pk- I would like them with less tension as well. Hopefully, these do the trick. Thanks.

I agree, I have been part of several forums over the years, but this one is by far the best for sharing information and helping each other.

Clips arrived and worked well with the Carbon Fiber Frunk pieces. Much easier to attach, thanks again for the help.
