Why is there so much C8 hate?
Falling prices are a good thing if you are in the market for a car. Corvettes still hold more of their value compared to most mass produced cars.
The flip side is that C8 is attracting a new group of Corvette owners/lovers. I know I am one in that crowd.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
The C-8 arrived and it was a lot different, the changes are a bit much to adapt to or try to comprehend. as they broke the mold and built a whole new design
You have the "old school" enthusiasts and you have a new generation car, you can guess what happens.
I have heard comments like "how can you work on the engine" like I am going to do any engine work back there?
I like to show My car and hear the comments and try answer any questions but this is my 1st Corvette so I am learning a lot .
I would not call it "hate" but more like a difference of opinion and even some confusion as to why Chevrolet did such a radical new design.
I think some of the "haters" just need to realize this is where Chevrolet went with this next new car and get on board.
The flip side is that C8 is attracting a new group of Corvette owners/lovers. I know I am one in that crowd.
Cardiac Kid
How many times have I been on reddit or youtube and read some variation of "corvettes are just the poor mans super car" and when I click on their profile it's them standing in front of a junky old charger or a 20 year old lowered hatchback with a giant HONDA decal on the windshield along with a monster sticker and purple LEDs running along the lowered bottom?
Most of the **** talking is just their form of coping with the fact that it's a car they like and want, but cannot afford.
- The C8 is no longer a rare bird. There are now thousands of them on the road and no one gets excited about seeing them anymore.
- The C8 may represent a bargain when compared to cars manufactured by foreign automakers, but when compared with other American performance cars, it's not.
- There is such a thing as a Corvette tax.
- Corvette owners can be a tad bit snobby and tend to only associate with other Corvette owners.
- And finally, you can put lipstick on a pig and it is still a pig. The Corvette in all its technological glory is still a Chevy. It has all the warts of a mass-produced car and gets serviced with the Silverados, and Equinoxes of the world the same as any other Chevy.

Always loved corvettes but back when I was 17, couldn't afford one. Then came the family and didn't make sense to own one. Would love a C1, even more so a C2 but hard to find and expensive. C3 was nice, didn't care for the C4.
then C5 to me got better looking, C6-7 got my attention as the kids got older . C8 took me in, even traded the car I never figured I would ever trade. 2020 50th anniversary Challenger scatpack.
The one thing I did notice here and most corvette forums, is the friendly support. You get occasional unpleasant ones but the vast majority, super cool bunch.
Nothing compared to the MOPAR groups. If you buy the entry version, it's crapp, should get an RT, get an RT, that's crapp, get a scatpack 392 but, that's crapp too, only a hell cat is worth buying !!!
and it still doesn't stop there, it's not a red eye or a super stock or a DEMON or a 270.. well you get the idea :-D
Here, everyone enjoys the vettes, even an entry level stingray that still beat most of the ones I mentioned.. Can't wait to get mine back out, the nice weather is slow showing up this year.
