If you need any install advice call or text me 201-575-0861. I've done it all from installing them to breaking the studs off the cats and replacing them 🤣

Like your plans Soler 91MM TB / Ported Intake Manifold......BUT here's a good suggestion. Don't pass on adding the Soler Throttle Controller!

This mod completely wakes up the C8 dead pedal. Probably the poorest response from any oem I have ever owned. This TB has 43 settings and is likely best bang for the buck out there.

I think Milltek are great for the $$. Have done a lot of them with very positive feedback.

Also carry Corsa, SOUL, Fabspeed etc. Would avoid 2M

Give me a shout if you’d like forum pricing or if you’d like to discuss

If a "louder" exhaust is the primary goal, may want to check this out... a very popular item for C6's with the performance exhaust option, I had one on my C6 and it delivered the desired sound without making any mods to the stock system and it provided the option to turn the louder option on and off as needed.

There is no compatibility for those Mild2Wild controllers with a C8.

edit: I see they offere these for C8s with NPP. Not sure what this does differently than just setting NPP to full loud?

The C8 already has a mild to wild....just set your my mode or z mode to track for the exhaust setting. No need to fumble for a remote.

There have been hundreds of posts from people demonstrating they DON"T WORK on the C8. Yet RPI continues to sell these bogus devices.

Default Stock C8 is plenty loud on the outside

I always see people's heads turning to look at the car before I am even in visual range. And, my wife says she can hear me coming home when I turn into our street if she happens to be outside.

The C8 exhaust is only loud on startup. Needs moar roar. And you can barely tell when valves are open on z51 cars

For those of you who have DIY your catback, did you take the wheels off? I think all the videos I've seen of installs remove the wheel. Just wondering is it needed or just makes the job easier.

No need to take the wheels off as long as you have tiny tools to remove the t15 torx screws from the wheel arches. No need to lift the car either.

Awesome, thanks. I think my friend and I are going to attempt to replace his exhuast in his garage. He is fairly mechaniclly inclined, I am not. I watch a video and think "that seems easy" and then end up in some trouble. Plenty of times on my camaro I had to put it back together and take it to a shop.

Sounds like me lol.

Do you have the valve relearn tool? I know u didn't buy your axleback from me but Ill step up and say take my number u can call/text me with questions if you get stuck on installation.

IMO your biggest challenge will be getting to the stud bolt way up in the fender. A right angle tool is very helpful here.

Have plenty of extensions and flexy joints on hand too.

Lastly, whatever you do don't cross thread the bolts that screw in to the studs on the cats. ☠️

Use hand tools and not impacts.

IMO HFC are the way to go. The sound and pitch is so much more aggressive. Every aspect of the sound is better. Idle, mild throttle, WOT, decel all way more aggressive.

You may chase CEL with cats though. It can be solved but either get a 600 CEL cat or run mini cats if you don't want CEL. Below is my car with Stainless Works 400 Cell GSport Cats and 2M Heat Blankets.

[QUOTE=Street_Carver;1609150328]

HFC only option.

Exactly how my non-Z51 with NPP exhaust and Corsa cats sounds. Those cracks are music. Nice off-throttle burbles and more rumble at idle too!

If you want louder sound without removing the bumper, get the high-flow cats. If that's not enough, add a Borla ATAK or Corsa performance muffler.

For me, the cats were enough.
